You know I have to ask? Who else feeling the new Kdot?

I felt the first 3 tracks sound a bit jarring, but after that he is in his lane and straight preaching. Never really heard a mainstream artist talking about his black guilt, daddy issues and trans people in the family. He makes us feel his thoughts, nothing feels like pretending, it's all real

Absolutely incredible for me.

I'm still processing right now, need to do a few more listens. His handling of Auntie Diaries was a little crass and will distract from the message, but super important conversation I'm glad he's starting.

Father Time/We Cry Together/Mother I Sober are topics we just aren't talking about.

I do wish he hadn't included Kodak Black on album... but I think he very much did it on purpose.

Yeah, I think Kodak Black is on it on purpose. He's like on three tracks.

You thought Auntie Diaries was crass? What about We Cry Together hahaha  it's not car music like Good Kid Maad City was, it's not as artsy as TPAB was, but it is a really good album, K.Dot the only mainstream artist keeping up with the best of the underground

Dude s a fucking genius period..... I agree that on the first listen through it sounded a bit weird like i was missing that banger.
But if you listen god damn the man has things to say, plus he can flow over everything.

Imho the album is not gonna be appreciated in the mainstream as there is no song that imho works well on the radio or in the club.

Kendrick is the best thinker in rap. Nobody writes like he does.

Comparing him to rappidy rappy rappers or even to fake Drake hitmakers is kinda unfair. Except for some GKMC songs, you don't listen to Kendrick in the club.

There's enough good rappers out there to get bangers from.

Immortal Technique would give him a very very good run for his money I assume.

Never heard of this Jason guy but I will listen some songs when I get back home from work.

I dont even consider Kendrick a rapper, i dont really like any of the songs he does either, too out there for me.

Only 4 tracks i like Money Trees, Maad City, The Recipe and Compton, and all the tracks are more traditional sounding hip hop songs with actual rapping.

One great thing about streaming is that u can just pick 1 or 2 songs off an album, a lot of albums are trash.
