No joke, if we're able to keep our squad next season the same as this one with just our departing trash replaced by equal trash, I'd be overjoyed.
Not gonna happen my friend,we're gonna lose atleast one core guy.

Marotta : "We promise Inter fans a competitive squad, respecting the sustainability of the club"
Jesus that sounds depressing. Something a sporting director at Lazio would be saying.

It's like with Kaka and Cuper. He vetoed the move coz he didn't fit the flat 4-4-2.

What??????

Is this actually a thing? I remember hearing Inter identified Kaka and leading the race for his signature, only to have Leonardo hijack the move and sign him for Milano!
Fucking Cuper! I did not know he rejected the move.....

Some players with talent like that need to be signed and the manager just need to make it work.

Roberto Gagliardini is another possible goal of Monza.
[via @Gazzetta_it]

#Inter’s flanks will be Gosens-Darmian on one side, Dumfries-Bellanova on the other. If an important offer arrives for Dumfries, #Inter can sign another fullback and are keeping themselves aware of other opportunities, such as Udogie and Cambiaso.

PSG Offer €60M For Milan Skriniar But Inter Holding Out For €80M
[Tuttosport]

Udinese ask €20M to sell Destiny Udogie. #Inter are trying to secure the player on a deal for 2023.
[via @NicoSchira]

I dont like it #PaulineVoice

I am a big believer that Defence wins titles. Personally i prefer Marotta tackle the flanks like this;
- Gosens/ and 1 of Udogie/Cambiaso
- Dumfries and Bellanova
Darmian to play where needed would be acceptable.

Dumfries sold, I expect Alvaro Odriozola to replace him. Although I have never seen Alvaro play but I hope we can go three times lucky RWB.

I can live with Skrniar being sold for 80M - On the premise Bremer, Milenkovic + another two CB's with potential are brought in and closed

**Note, I assume De Vrij will be sold with Skrniar

Yep, Cuper rejected the move. Seedorf and Ronaldo left because of Cuper. I remember Recoba was critical of his tactics in an interview as well. Even Crespo had reacted angrily at being subbed out against Milan in the CL semi final and that was so unlike him. Players seemingly were not happy with Cuper's ultra defensive tactics.

His agent:
“I introduced myself to his father and asked what European club Ricardo dreamed of playing for. He replied Milan. I asked for 30 days to make it happen and began pressing (then Milan CEO Adriano) Galliani, but it wasn’t easy, because they already had Manuel Rui Costa and Rivaldo in the trequartista role.

“I even offered him to Inter at one point, but Hector Cuper didn’t know what to do with Kaka in a 4-4-2 formation. Nobody else was really interested, which I found incredible.

“In the end, (Milan lawyer Leonardo) Cantamessa even did Kaka’s astrological chart and said we had to sign him, because the stars were shining on this player. After Ariedo Braida was won over, we got Galliani on board.”

Is this some funky translation, or is it Italians being Italians?

Out:
Dumfries (35)
De Vrij (15)
Gagliardini (5)
Vidal (-4)
Sanchez (-5)
Pinamonti (20)
Sensi (5)
Pirola (4)
Di Gregorio (3)
Radu, Dzeko, Perisic, Kolarov, Ranocchia out for free.
Total: 78

In:
Bremer (30)
Asllani (14)
Bellanova (10)
Lukaku (10 loan fee)
Loftus-Cheek (5 loan fee)
Cambiaso (5)
Onana, Dybala, Mkhitaryan, Vanheusden, Destro (yeah, I know, but he's a youth product and would barely ever play) for free.
Total: 74

Lautaro - Lukaku
Dybala
- Correa - Destro

Gosens - Calhanoglu - Brozovic - Barella - Darmian
Cambiaso - RLC - Asllani - Mkhitaryan - Bellanova

Bastoni - Bremer - Skriniar
Dimarco - Vanheusden - D'Ambrosio

Onana
Handa - Cordaz

It's not great, we would be particularly weaker on the wings, but it's competitive enough and totally feasible, if only we were able to at least close at zero loss instead of having to generate 60 million in profit.

That's if you think 3-5-2 would be the modus operandi. If Inzaghi mixes up 3-4-1-2 with Dybala in there, the midfield would be more technical and punchy.

R. Carlos because of Hodgson. Skriniar almost because of Conte. Etc. We should learn some things by now.

If we get about 90m for Lautaro, as is rumoured, I will take that. Helps us keep Skriniar. But my necessary condition is to reinvest in a young and high potential forward, and not buying Lukaku permanently.
