They play better football, that is why. Also did Pep ruin Foden and Grealish, or is just England shit?

After watching quite a few of these Nations League matches, I think the some of teams were experimenting with new players and lineups for the World Cup as bench options. Others were in the process of rebuilding their sides for the Euros. The stupid timing of this thing soon after the season begs belief though.

the only ones taking this 100% seriously are the Germans, ofc, because they never take anything lightly

lol manshitni. shit as always.

I don't get the criticism. Mancini is doing the right thing by experimenting with new players in what are at best some glorified friendlies. He played loads of kids in the 1st Nations League despite very similar complaints. Those kids won Euro 2021. Now finally Mancini is doing it again, and its awesome. New players are emerging (like Gnonto) and this can only be a good thing for Italy.

My only regret about Mancini's tenure as Azzurri coach has been that he could not experiment between Euro 2021 & the world cup qualifiers, due to the delays of the pandemic. That, coupled with key injuries, led to not qualifying for the WC. Apart from that disappointment, Mancini has done remarkably well with this bunch of players.

Will be interested to see how the squad develops once Chiesa returns to the fold.

the only "kids" I see in that Euro squad, at least from the final lineup and substitutes, are Chiesa and Barella, who were both 23? Bastoni was a bench player.

Dang it, no television coverage of Italia vs England match in the US on Friday @2:45. However the Germany vs Hungary match is on Fox Sports 1 at 2:45pm. Nor does the Hungary vs Italia match have television coverage on Monday, 26 September @2:45pm in the US, England vs Germany is on Fox Sports.

Im sure Italia will be better with Chiesa back along with spinnazola, its speed side.

A friend of mine thinks chiesa would be more valuable coming off the bench, sometimes i wonder if that would be better

Im always looking at new young options, thought riccardo sottil would have blown up, maybe this yr, there is also zerbin both of which are already 23, there are younger options like the Vignato brothers and cancellieri, gnonto,

Yeah, and it's probably in part the reason why the Italia matches aren't broadcast in the US by conventional means. Guess I'll watch how Gosens does. Hope he gets some quality work.

Kill me.

I thought Scamacca wasn't even called up this go-around?
He wasn't. Mancini called him up after Immobile's injury.

I can't think of one footballing reason why he would start Dimarco at LWB over someone like Udogie.
