no one want to sign Pinamonti for actual money, at best loan with obligation (unless Leipzig interest are real). no actual money we get, its impossible to bring Bremer here, or maybe we prepare for low options Romagnoli, Acerbi, David Luiz? Skriniar money? at best they convert into something questionable.

I thought this was the Skriniar thread. Sucks that we’re pushing him out, we need to brace our asses for his sale, unfortunately it’s coming. If we replace him with Bremer and (unrelated I know) we add Lukaku and Dybala I would still consider it a relatively successful mercato, we have a good shot at reclaiming our championship

I don’t get this argument that it’s harder to replace striker than defender? Lautaro is good player but inconsistent and we are getting two good strikers Lukaku and Dybala who can replace him.

We should be looking who will replace De Vrij and not who will replace Skriniar?

Sell Lautaro and replace him with Lukaku and Dybala. Replace De Vrij with Bremer and voila you have awsome attack and awsome defence!

Lautaro is good player but not great, Skriniar is great player and our backline leader. Bastoni-Bremer-Skriniar with Dybala-Lukaku we will do some severe damage in Serie A and who knows maybe even in CL too!

Yeah

But it means if you look back in history and who wins a title, usually have best defence. Of course you also have to score goals, but tight defence give you that edge to second place holder.

dzeko scored 13 goals in serie a. 17 in all comp. He hasn't scored more than 20 since 2017. He actually scored less than 10 two times in these last 5 years.

It's clear that Marotta and Zang do not want to sell Lautaro now, become with WC incoming, and new decent season his price could jump over 100mln.
Skriniar value will decrease with the time unfortunately.
