If we get Dybala and Bremer I can live losing Skriniar, but if we fail that and sell Skriniar for 60 mil that would be fkn disgrace.

I love how Bergomi talked about
"Skriniar, Bastoni, Barella and Lautaro, these are all people you should never sell.
“They are people who create identity, you need to create identity. They should never be touched."

Also I rather keep Skriniar than signing Dyballa.

It is funny selling Skriniar might damage the team's strength the least among them, but hurt the most.

This whole thing is beyond retarded.

"Skriniar wanted to leave"

"He had only one year of contract left, we had to accept the player's decision"

I mean what is for him to say if your bosses keep coming to you like hey we really need to sell you whether you like it or not, and we also want you to keep quiet about this, if you like inter please accept the offer and don't make a fuse about it.

Your choices are go out public and flip the tables(conte style), stand firm till they throw your stuffs out of the locker room and change the password, or whatever he is doing. I hope he stays. I am hoping all these rumors are bullshit, else please sell the club.

From a sporting and financial perspective, I get it. But his impact on the squad and leadership should completely rule him off the table.

I think 70-75mil is probably his true value, but I don’t see how we can’t milk PSG for more given their unlimited resources.

*sigh* we’re going to face this every year until Suning is gone. Let’s hope we survive mostly intact.

PSG saw how lazy our directors were last year just selling the first big name who was willing to leave. They know Zhang is demanding money ASAP and they know we're too incompetent to do multiple sales of lesser players to hit that number. I'd be shocked if PSG went over 65 plus bonuses. Hopefully Lautaro rejects a move when Suning try to sell him in late July after the team is "finished".

What do you expect when your director announces to the world that it's easier to replace Skriniar. Basic negotiation skill I learnt when I was a kid was always to show them your intention to sell or buy but we always do otherwise.

Similar to smaller clubs who generally have less leverage, Inter’s bargaining position will be compromised as long Zhang is running the club i.e sporting decisions are second to financials.

Just as many here expect Torino to sell Bremer for lower fee, PSG knows this club has to sell.

I have no idea why people keep defending Marotta...

I don't want to use this to justify the rumors of his sale but from a financial standpoint, this appears to be simple solely for the purpose of pursuing that capital gain, so he'll almost certainly be the victim. Last week, Marotta hinted that defenders would be forced to be sold.
There are several reasons for this, including the following:
1. He is the only player who has received a large offer and can meet the capital gains and net transfer objectives.
2. The contract has one year left on it.
3. The replacement player has been locked.
And perhaps from Skriniar's perspective, such as
- Significant financial gains,
- Opportunity to advance further in the Champions League, or simply
- Will play alongside his idol Sergio Ramos.

Why not bring in another big name like Bastoni, Barella, or Martinez? Bastoni has already been confirmed to stay at the club; Barella will need a bid of at least 93 million to match Skriniar's capital gains; no team appears to be interested in spending that much money on him.
Martinez is the second most valuable player in terms of capital gains after Skriniar, but Marotta has stated that he is not for sale.

It's easy to blame the club's management because he appears to have been forced to be sacrificed. It's quite concerning, given our efforts to sell our players. Even selling unused or potential young players has not produced a satisfactory result; most of them might go out and will not provide sufficient capital gains or will result in capital losses.

It will be heartbreaking to see a true Interista legend leave, regardless of the financial, sporting, or the ability of the players who will replace him.

Who knows, Skriniar may eventually reject this transfer, forcing the club to consider alternatives to simply sacrificing him.
