These options are necessary to give the loaning club some incentive to use the player.

Di Marzio said Inter will have a buy back option if Anderlecht decides to buy him.
Among the various young people for whom Inter was looking for a destination was Sebastiano Esposito who will move to Belgium, at Anderlecht. The 2002-born striker will be shot again on loan, as had happened this year for his move to Basel and in the previous years to Venezia and Spal. More precisely, the formula agreed by the two clubs is that of the loan with the right of redemption set at 6/7 million euros and counter-redemption at 1 million. In this way, Inter protect themselves by maintaining control of the player.

Probably it was meant to say 1 million more.

So the deal is Anderlecht can use player for one year, if he plays well enough they can profit 1m out of that by using the option and Inter obviously using the counter option (since Esposito had played well). We also net the plusvalenza in that case.

Speaking to reporters via Calciomercato this afternoon, Esposito commented on his move to Anderlecht and his quest for regular minutes.
“I don’t want to wait but I want to play, in any country. I would have done it in Italy, the offers are what they are and I’m brave enough to face a second experience abroad.

“I’ve said goodbye to Lukaku, he’s very fired up. My goal remains to return to Inter.

That's not gonna help anyone develop

Infaxt I'd love to know if any big name strikers made it as being 4th or 5th choice when they were 20?

Looks like he’s coming off the bench but good on him for taking his opportunity.

From what I've seen from him, he can beat his man, and we desperately lack this kind of player.
I don't say that he is ready now, but after two seasons, he may be decent for us. I hope to keep him until then.

Considering they have an option to buy, the only way we still have him in two seasons is if he's ass tbh
