And why do people think going abroad will bring some success? It's not like we're targeting the Messi and Ronaldo of this generation, we're only looking to replace Ranocchia whose quality can easily be found in SA.

Also, the players that you guys love the most right now all came from SA e.g. Skriniar, Bastoni, Barella, Handanovic. Just for reference, Lautaro has also gone on record multiple times stating his love for Inter and refused many offers, but he's never held in the same regardas Barella Skriniar and Bastoni. He will be the first to be kicked out of the door if fans are allowed to choose. Think about that.

I’ll inject myself with some copium and at least admit Milenkovic is probably more of a natural fit as a rcb in a back 3. He’s better going forward and with better passing and technique. Perhaps even marginally quicker than Skriniar, which is really Skriniar’s only true weakness.

You can’t ignore however Skriniar is a much better defender.. and that’s typically the priority for a center back. Skriniar just has a physical presence Milenkovic doesn’t have, despite his tall stature. Milenkovic is built more like Bastoni. Skriniar is a pure hard nose stopper and it’s hard to find good ones these days. It will be a bitter bitter loss, akin to losing Zanetti in the early 2000s imo.

There is no copium in comparing Milenkovic to Skriniar. The difference in quality is just too much. There are silver lining in Milenkovic vs Ranocchia or de Vrij though.

Good points there! Last year at back 4 he didn’t look that convincing, but at back 3 I think he will do better job than last year? He is good age with some experience and with someone like Bremer at his side, he might be good player to have? Of course he is far from Skriniar level, but in our situation might be best we can get?

Now there will be also Juventus after him if De Light is sold to Chelsea? But it seems De Vrij is staying for a season before free transfer next season so Bremer might take that rcb place with De Vrij at centre?

On other hand Bremer is a little bit closer version Skriniar.

I mean Milenkovic is somewhere between Dimarco and Bastoni level.
Better than Dimarco but worse than Bastoni .

I don't see the similarity between the 3.
Bastoni and di marco are lcb's with fantastic offensive skills while milenkovic is a rcb with decent passing skills and good aerial ability.

Milenkovic is your typical violent, no questions asked type of defender. I guess he can somewhat play the ball but that's not his main strength like is the case with Bastoni and Dimarco.

Milenkovic is actually a good RCB, but not one worth losing Skriniar over, especially since he hasn't really shown that much ever since his breakout year.

But he remains a relatively safe option that's one of the top 5 players in Serie A for that role.

Skriniar sold for 70m then buy Bremer for 40m and Milenkovic for 15m. Get 15m profit. Then after two years Marotta can sell Bremer for 80m and Milenkovic for 40m, 120m from 55m, get 65m profit.

Sure this was just my opinion.

The most probably clubs buy Bremer are PSG, City, Real, or Chelsea

On other hand Milenkovic can be at MU, Tottenham, or Newcastle.

I really disagree with this. Milenkovic underwhelms me in every sense. He's not a particularly fast or strong defender. He offers little in attack. We're not going to be able to build out of the back with a trio of Bremer, Milenkovic, and Bastoni.

The only reason we're even considering Milenkovic is because he's played in a back three before. Much like Skriniar, I'd rather sign a better CB and force them to adapt to the system.

I know there is no links to us currently, but I would like to see Singo as rcb. His contract end 2023, but there might be option to renew it with a year? I think Juric/Cairo would be interested for Pinamonti, Dimarco, Gags or Casadei + some money for both Bremer and Singo?

Awsome player and could also play as rwb if needed!
