Regarding Lautaro, who gives a fuck if he's a world class player or not? He's effective for Inter, has Inter at this heart and is integral part of this squad.

I had a feeling this was going to be his breakthrough season but I’m not sure now. I think having Lukaku here might actually hinder that a bit. I feel like if we didn’t get Lukaku we would have paired him with either Dybala or Correa and he would have been the focal point. Now he will be back to doing a lot of support work for Lukaku.

And it's still best for everyone. Lautaro wants to win and he will do the work the coach asks him to do, while scoring goals. He's a magnificent player in my books and coaches love him too.

I'm not sure about this, at least based on the friendlies so far. It's looks like Lukaku is the support striker, and Lautaro gets more goalscoring opporutnites.

So, Dybala and Gleison Bremer are two completely different speeches. I don't think it was an Inter failure on Dybala at Roma, but an Inter choice after taking on Romelu Lukaku. Bremer is different, since it was a strategic goal for Inter. Very strong player who goes to a competitor in the Scudetto race. Also because Inter, however, had been looking for him for some time. And a defender was needed given the hole left by Andrea Ranocchia.
- Biasin, do you think Inter will be looking for a fifth striker?
As for the fifth striker, I think Inter are well covered in attack. He has a well proven offensive park with Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa. In my opinion they are very strong attackers and perfectly compatible with each other. Inter have to give up Alexis Sanchez and Andrea Pinamonti, but I don't think a fifth striker can reach the level or similar to the four mentioned.
- For example Andrea Belotti on a free transfer?
I do not believe. Beppe Marotta and Simone Inzaghi at the press conference were clear: we will try to reach a fifth young striker who can grow. Maybe a boy from the primavera. Having five top-level strikers would also be a problem in terms of management and playing time.
- Sanchez is scrambling to go. Do you think in the end an offer will come from another team or will it go away with a severance pay?
Sanchez has currently turned down all offers. Also important. Like that of Sevilla, but also in Turkey and other foreign markets. Sanchez takes an important salary: 7 million euros! A lot for the Nerazzurri speakers. He is legitimately putting his foot down, also because his contract is not expiring. And in his opinion he still considers himself a player for top European clubs.

Inter are well covered in the flanks on both the right and left. On the right, the owner is Denzel Dumfries with Raoul Bellanova as a substitute and, if necessary, the good Danilo D'Ambrosio. On the left, the owner will be Gosens with Matteo Darmian as reserve and, if necessary, Federico Dimarco. So I don't see these problems. Gosens has to wait because he had physical problems last year. But Inter made an important investment in him in January and therefore he will be the owner. I disagree with these hasty judgments based on summer friendlies.

Favorite at the start? I see the two Milanese, Inter and Milan. Together with Juventus, which is doing an excellent transfer market. Compared to the last few years, the bianconeri are working in a different way and with greater organization. Then there is, as always, Milan. Stefano Pioli's team should not be underestimated. He hasn't sold anyone (but he lost Franck Kessié on a free transfer, ed) and, on the contrary, he is trying to strengthen himself on the market. I immediately say Inter, Milan and Juventus. I hate Ranieri forever for playing Falcao against a 3rd division team that broke his leg right before a World Cup. Atletico Madrid and Porto Falcao was a Fifa Create a player on easy. He didn't play in one of the bigger clubs which hurt him. He really never recovered from the injury but going to Man U then Chelsea to recover from an injury like that was a very stupid move on his part.

No EU passport(his gf was English so that’s bs they wouldn’t give him one but somehow Nelson Rivas was German

and had two acl tears before leaving Argentina…… he was a free agent basically was rumored for AC Milan but they didn’t give him the shot. Only Porto took the chance and it paid off.

Sadly Porto then fkd us and a lot of other teams by selling us “world class” players who were pretty shit and just worked great in their system.

He wasn't free when he moved to Porto, several clubs were interested across Europe but the asking price was deemed too steep for someone with no guarantees of health.

He was a free agent he was just a dumbass who resigned with River with a small release clause so that River would get money. Think they were in a bad financial situation at that point….

Yeah River was in shit at the time but I don't think there was such a thing with the contract.

I was under the impression that his last River Plate contract was signed in late 2007. He started receiving interest in the winter of 2008 and got a couple of injury scares that kinda kept him there (he had torn his ACL in 2006 and had several knee injuries until 2009). He would have signed for my team in Greece (Panathinaikos) in 2008 but the transfer required 8m euros at the time (which is like 20m now) but they didn't want to commit the rest of the money required. He didn't receive that many offers at the time, even if a few months prior his price tag was 15m and teams like Manchester United and Milan had made offers.

They considered him the next summer as well but ended up with Djibril Cisse since Falcao had already agreed to join Porto for a 5.5m fee. I think his contract was expiring at the end of the 2009 calendar year, so he'd be free some months later.


River Plate did not hold 100% of his rights, just 50%. They were happy to sell their share for less than 3m, which was the price negotiated in 2008. But the other party wanted 5m. Not sure what the arrangement was when Porto got him, how much of that ended up with River etc. It was similar in Italy when you had the co-ownerships and you had to negotiate with both clubs. But in Falcao's case it was some agency or something.

He wanted to play for Milan, anyway.

Pm me a link that shows his contract history, curious to see if you're correct because I remember it otherwise.

Agree but I wanted to post something in this thread cause it seems pretty dead. Like our mercato ambitions and strategy to bring someone.

Must be great working for inter. Its like mystery box. Sometimes u get a yes and sometimes a no... well, in inters case its mostly a no.

Here's a fun little exercise. First team players who are under contract for the 2023/24 season:

CM: Barella, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Asllani
