Really, annoying that all reports show that Zhang is totally unwilling to sell, the Chinese governments has stopped investment for the past 2 years and the club is hurting meanwhile Wonder Boy keeps rolling around in his black and blue Ferrari.

we have a unique situation STUCK

poor and inadequate sponsors
we cant buy
we cant sell
we didnt get any luck from buying youngsters with 2-10 million and it went to drain
we are haggling in deals, where players get offers for 5-10 million and INTER insist on buy back clause which cancels the whole deal
lastly we give players on loan and we pay their salaries or 50% of it

sad situation,

And still in the last years we were the champions and challenger (plus coppa). You make it sound like we were with a foot in Serie B.
With the youngsters? What do you expect? Who is our main scouting guy? We need to get rid of Ausilio and bring an good scouter.

It's clear that the Zhangs are in over their heads. They are completely incapable of generating legitimate commerical revenue for this club - as demonstrated by the fact it's in a steady decline. The marquee kit sponsor they brought us is an illegitimate sham. Last year's was a garbage product, and also a bit of a scam.

So while they sit here and try to "balance the books," it's clear that there's no actual way to do that. We aren't earning revenue. The only option they have is to continue to sell top players to stop the bleeding. Considering how lousy our player signings have been since 2020, that well is certainly going to run dry. Then what?

They do not have the money, political savvy, or means to get a stadium built. They're handicapped by their own government into doing anything beyond the bare minimum.

Sell.

If the only way to get rid of the Chinese is to go bankrupt and start from scratch as Inter 1908 FC in Series C, I’m all for it.
It won`t be like that.
But I still keep my opinion. Even with the new owner, we will need to go through a painful restructuring. In this moment our team is way too expensive for our revenues.
I will repeat that like beating a dead horse: we have a mountain of debt and bleeding 100m per season! This is just not sustainable.

People want a sugar daddy. Moratti 2.0. Even if they say that with other words like "sensitive owner" or "someone who understand what Inter means" and so on. In the end that means someone who at the end of the year write a check and cover the debt we made and the expenses we plan to do. I don`t think is feasable. If someone billionaire wanted to be the sugar daddy, he would have already bought the club.

Another words of generating revenues. That will take years. Probably more that 10 years to see a big difference. We can talk about how United, Bayern, Real or Barca grow their commercial revenues. But what they have in common is it took years and years.

I think a restructuring with downsizing the cost and reshaping how we operate will be inevitable. Wage bill down, salary cap (something like 3 players max with 6m salary, 5 with 4.5m and the rest below 3m or even 2m) and more importantly scouting (we need to find good prospects under the radar). And by scouting I don`t mean Bremer but Asllani, when the first reaction is: who the fuck is this shit and what is he doing here?

nope, i was talking only in terms of the cashflow, but sooner than later if we failed to buy/acquire valuable players in the pitch we will be back into the void years (1995-2004/2011-2021)

the club is stuck, dont look presentable to be sold.

People definitely want that but the murmurs aren't coming because Suning ain't that. It's because they're not even a functioning owner.
Exactly this.

The age of patrons is over like Marotta said. We aren't getting new Moratti. Most probable is some fund/investor from America like the rest of Italian clubs have been getting recently.

And that's fine. That's better than what we have now.

Well it’s either that or some dusky investment fond with ties to one of the Arabian states.

Who want’s to buy soft powers and political good will.

Unfortunately the truth is that Inter is only a big club in name currently. Our history and prestige make us a recognizable “big club” but when you really peel the curtain back we are not comparable to other big clubs at all. Not in terms of revenue, marketability, social media following, etc.

Has this club ever made a profit from operations? Just look at the amount of money owners have had to invest into this club historically versus other comparable clubs. Essentially just to keep up with Inter you have to be willing to “invest” 9 figures every year. How can any legitimate business man see the upside in owning Inter?

No legitimate TV revenue, a stadium that’s a liability instead of an asset, a league that refuses to modernize. How do you even turn this around? This is the product of decades of neglect both at the club level and league level. There is a roadblock at every avenue for sustainability.

Your post is absolutely spot on.

When I watched the highlights against Lyon, the question that came to mind is "When are things ever going to change?" And I was asking that question in the context of playing personnel and the way we can not change our game. I was also asking it in the context of seeing where we went wrong last season and the fact that the squad has not been adequately reinforced to address our shortcomings. Bringing in Lukaku, 20 year old Assllani and a slightly more functional Mkhitaryan is not going to widely change our prospects. The way I see it, our owners have only shifted and moved a few pieces but very little has actually changed on the the ground.

The big problem we have is that there is no forward planning: only band-aid solutions. We are simply trying to move and get through one financial year at a time. With that kind of outlook, it is little wonder Inter is not going anywhere as a club.

Inter is still the 14th highest revenue club in the world, and we're like 5m euros a year away from being the 12th highest in the world. We're just behind Athletico Madrid, which isnt bad actually considering the decade they've had.

Yeah, we're a bigger name than we deserve based on our pitch at the moment, and on top of buying the club we'd need probably 1 billion investment (stadium, debts, etc) to sort this place out, but we could still turn this club around

Dont get me wrong, its not just an Inter thing - you need the league to sort its shit out as well, and I suspect that doesnt happen until some of the bigger clubs get taken over by firms (like American ones) who want to focus on generating more profit and being cashflow positive - but I think a lot of the potential is there. You just need a good visionary to execute.

The thing is, if we (as a league) focused on developing more young players and trying to develop talents like we have with Vlahovic, Barella, Bastoni, SMS, Pogba, etc, over the last decade, with a bit more consistency, there's so much potential

Take a bit of a longer time horizon into context and you ll have to admit that we indeed did move forward....
Where were we 6/7 years ago what kind of players did we have? Not saying all is great but when suning came in we did not play CL football now even with a disappointing transfer window i m quite confident we ll play Cl next season to.
That little has actually changed on the ground is only true for the last season and this....

The thing that bafels me the most is how bad we are at branding and how insignificant we are online..
We re still one of the most followed football clubs in the world but social media does not really reflect that. It gets even worse when considering that we were owned by a indonesian and now are in chinese hands. Yet it looks like we re pretty irrelevant in both those markets.

To the turn around i think h. is pretty spot on now consider where we d stand in the revenue ranking of teams who dont own their stadium my guess would be 2n or 1st.

We have moved forward but it's not durable. It's been a fucking hoax all the time with the Chinese money. We've struggled to get better sponsorships once the fake Chinese ones stopped being there for us after CCP shut it all down. And we didn't even get all the money agreed from China in the end, thus having to write down losses on them later. So the move forward is kind of faked. Total financial doping.

Now the biggest deal we've made is a sponsorship with a fucking crypto company which by default sounds like a scam. And already we are missing money from them and we've had them for like one year. We are coming down with this useless ownership.

I mean were they fake? Also what should suning have done the moment the ccp shut it down? I personally think we made huge steps from tohir to today, that might say more about tohir than the zhangs but still.

Also most funds that would aquire us now would do exactly what suning is trying and we keep on bitching about, again dont get it twisted if we re taken over by a vulture fund the cost cutting will be relentless and Star players will be shown the door with no mercy again look to bbilan.
Like it aint like suning is happy that we make huge losses every year......
So i dont really see what the point is of people bitching about suning cause we keep on loosing our best players and yet they d gladly take a fund as new owners who d probably go about the business of slashing cost a lot harsher.

if you say we have no direction and suning is extremely poor at communicating then i fully agree that would probably be better with a fund but the rest would pretty much stay the same.

Also the crypto bit man way bigger clubs than us get sponsored by Cryptobros.. the problem is that we did not insist on them paying in advance
