That's beside the point tbh. It's not about Casadei only. It's more than. It's about our lack of faith in our own primavera players and our preference to give minutes to players who don't add value.

As for Casadei if he was not worth it then we wouldn't be pushing to insert a buy back clause.
Kind of right kind of wrong

If we want to give primavera a chance ypu should be kn a position where you believe some of them may be good enough to make it. There's basically no track record of any of them making it.

Fyi we put buy back clauses on basically every primavera sale. Nothing unusual about it at all. We hold but back clauses on basically every player we sold, the only times we've exercised it has been dimarco, pinamonti and radu

And the thing is, the guys we do give chances to don't generally make it anyway. Look at the primavera players who have played for us in the last few years, most of them aren't even serie B level players now iirc.

We are insisting on buyback clause on all our youngsters. We dont want a repeat of the zaniola mistake again.

That's 27m in EUR, Chelsea can have him.

Chelsea is nuts, 40m for Dumfries, 25m for Casadei, it's about time they start to interest in Pinamonti for 25m too.

So Casadei is wonderkid. Great job Inter, just great, now sell him for 8 cents.

So, those fuckers offered 20 mln pounds for Chukuwatekuakaua, but lowballing us with 8 mln euro for Casadei?! Tell them to sod off.
That guy played 14 PL games so far, Casadei played 0 games of senior football.

So, those 14 PL games justified the 17 mln price tag difference?

Apparently.
Also Inter went ahead and bought Asllani with similar experience and a bit lower price, so shows how we value Casadei when we invested elsewhere.

Absolutely, that’s how it works. Once you’ve proven you can play with the big boys the price doubles or triples.
But anybody can play if one gets a chance. I recall Salcedo and Pellegri started very early at Genoa, like 15-16 years old, but strangely they haven't turned into world beaters. Playing with the big boys from 16, 17 or 18 means nothing. I've read that Aston villa are happy with that evaluation, most probably because they know that their lad is just another mediocre UK talent.

It definitely doesn't mean nothing. It means a lot. They showed they can play against men. After that it's up to tens of different variables can that talent be developed so the kid becomes mature enough. Salcedo development has surely went to shit but that doesn't prove anything about any other player.

How many of those guys made it at the top level? And don't come up with Messi and Ronaldo, because they are generation talents, and it was clear that those ones are something different since very young age. I have my own theory, that imposing so young kids in men's football is not so beneficial for them actually. They started to play at high intensity so early, and they don't have a time enough to develop properly. The reason why some kid plays against men at top level, is because his physic and body allow it. That doesn't mean he will become quality player at all.

Playing for Inter has something to do with it. I think he gets more game time playing for lower level clubs like Chelsea.

According to Marco Barzaghi, a journalist for Sport Mediaset, the Blues are preparing an offer worth twenty million pounds (about twenty-four million euros).

I believe it's more like 20 mln euro, but this will be enough for Zangs to wet their pants.

It's also enough for me to get my dick hard.

20 million euros is insane* for someone that hasn't played a single minute of senior football, and I'm not willing to believe it quite yet, but there is no way to say no to that. Too many unknown variables when it comes to young players. No matter how good you think he could be (and I don't think very many here have actually seen much of any of the games he's played), you take that money and run. Hell, he could turn out to be Messi in five years, but, statistically, there's a higher chance he turns out to be a Tassi.

*Especially for someone in our financial position. If we can get forty out of the sixty million we need before June 2023 from a Primavera player and an unwanted forward, basically leaving our first team unscathed, that's about as good as it gets. That alone trumps any talent Casadei might have, in my opinion.

Aside from winning trophies, every club aspires to discover the next talent. In terms of return it’s probably the most optimal source or else you wouldn’t have all these clubs in this business.

So not surprised at all that Chelsea, if they are scouting properly, will aim to get a player they believe can be a star.

Inter is at the moment, aiming to win more trophies with the group of players they assembled ~5 years in the making.

Chelsea has the ability to invest in both, inter with current ownership can’t resist the money or afford to take the risk.
