10 years of FIF
Zaniolo had the talent, but we gift them to Roma
Which Ruiz?
Apperently we don’t have a single euro to spend. It’s even worse, we have to make 60 million by the end of the season. The sad truth is we can’t afford to pay 8 million and probably can’t afford his salary.I still can’t believe we haven’t gone for Lucas Torreira, you can probably get him for like 8 million.
We could have got him. It's just we chose to invest on Asllani instead. Time will tell if we were right or wrong.
Udogie wouldn't have been the same, he costs at least 20m. Actually few days ago (or yesterday) it was reported Spurs offers 25m + bonuses for Udogie.
He wouldn't be anywhere close the same category as Asllani and his 4m loan 10n + 2m bonus redemption price.
Agree, it’s a bit optimistic to think we could get Udogie for less then €20m, there has been talk about €25-30m price tag way beyond Inters financial reach.Udogie wouldn't have been the same, he costs at least 20m. Yeah, he would cost more than Asllani, but still worth it. What I meant by "deals like Asllani" was younger players on relatively low wages. We need more Asllanis & less Hakans. Thats the only way we don't need to sell our stars every summer.
Look at Milan, their wage bill was 20% higher than Inter's in 2018-19. By 2021-22, Milan's wage bill was half of Inter's & they won the Scudetto. Milan don't need to sell their stars. They are continuing their policy by investing in younger players like De Ketelaere, Adli & Origi. As their revenues grow, they can start increasing their wage bill. That is a smart approach in current circumstances.
No they just loose them on bosman instead.
But else I agree it’s the right approach , we need more Asslani and the type Milan got their hands on and less Hakan type of deals. Obviously it make it more of a gamble then the Bastoni, Barella and Martinez type of obvious quality. But even that strategy requires fonds in the past 4 years Milan have a net spend of €160m, Inter is on €43m
Thats coz Inter are spending something like 60m more than Milan on wages PER SEASON. Milan's 160m net spend in 4 years is only 40m per season.
I think Inter has even less money to spend on transfer fees. 4 of the players you mentioned came for no transfer fee. 3 on a 2 year or less contract and I think Hakan is on a 3 year term.Inter has the past 4 years spend about 50m more on wages then Milan. As I already expressed elsewhere our wage spending was unsustainable, I do not disagree that it certainly plays a part in why we over a 4 year period has such low net spending and it probably also why we ended where we are today financially. But actually the payroll needs to be cut by 80m (already cut 20m from last season) so it’s down around 50m euros or Atalanta level. because that’s actually what the club currently has finances for and not a cent more, unless the club can improve on its income.
In that light when they where more then aware of that, why the hell did they sign Lukaku (again), Hakan, Correa, Dzeko, Mkhitaryan, Gosens and Onana the last two summers on such high wages when we knew the state of our finances. No a single of those should ever have been signed as it’s financially bonkers.
Let’s say inter can find 50m on additional income that means inter from last season cut 50m euro on the payroll, so that’s 100m euros or an average salary of 3.3m with current squad seize.
I couldn`t agree more. But for that we need to make the first and most important step: find a good scouter (or a scouting department as you name it!). Do you know who is our main scouter? Me neither!Yeah, he would cost more than Asllani, but still worth it. What I meant by "deals like Asllani" was younger players on relatively low wages. We need more Asllanis & less Hakans. You not knowing who baccin is doesn't mean he isn't a good scout. Can identify talents all day long but if suning won't release any funds then deals can't be concluded.I couldn`t agree more. If Ausilio is in charge with the scouting, we are basically fucked!
Maybe you are right! But the results speaks for themselves! You not knowing who baccin is doesn't mean he isn't a good scout. Can identify talents all day long but if suning won't release any funds then deals can't be concluded.
Joa Mario and Gabi goal had nothing to do with any inter manager. They were signings recommended to suning by Kia joorabchian which suning authorized. Kia's involvement that summer is a mayor reason why mancini left and why de boer was hired.Maybe you are right! But the results speaks for themselves!
Skriniar, Bastoni, Brozo, Lautaro - you can say they are the results of good scouting. Barella not so much. 3 years of Serie A experience, italian NT starter, one of the best midfielder in Serie A. Barely a result of good scouting. Hakimi the same.
That`s it. Maybe you can throw here Zaniolo (as an exemple of good scouting). Dumfries also.
J. Mario, Barbosa, Dalbert, Vecino, Gags, Lazaro, even Politano. I don`t put Sensi here because the talent was there, but not the body. Correa is still open. He could turn useful.
As you see the results are pretty meh. Overall less than 50% which is pretty bad. Try now Milan! Way better!
But as you say: we need more "deals like Asllani". This is the only path forward, if we want to see anothe La grande Inter.
Another aspect. We need to develop these players. A talent who is not developed won`t be a good player. I know someone (Cafecordoba) said here then it is not the obligation of the coach to develop players, only the results. No,no, no, from now on, one of the coach obligation need to be player development.
