Yeah I agree. I don't want extension. We need to keep lowering our wage bill. Calhanoglu is a good candidate for that and if we can get some nice fat fee selling him (pure plusvalenza) I'm all in for it.

I like him, IMO he's worthy of a starting spot at Inter but we need to act according to financial realities. We need funnel that money to Skriniar extension and replace Calhanoglu with a cheaper guy.

I mean of our starting MFs he def the one everyone will drive to his next location but with those wages only a super desperate EPL team would give us $$$ for him

Regarding Hakan i read yesterday on the media Inter have an option to extend his contract for one more season but Inter are very happy with him and they would like to start talks for an extension after World Cup. Hakan is also happy at Inter but he's asking for a raise to extend.

Imo he isn't worth a new contract with a raise. We should either sell him next summer or just wait and trigger the option in 2024 even at the risk of losing him for free one year later.

If the plan is to reduce costs, we need to replace Hakan with a cheaper player and monetize him by selling him to EPL.

We need money for Skriniar and Bastoni salary raises. We also need new central CB if De Vrij leaves.

We need to sell all of them... any player who wants 5 million or more needs to go. Even if we get super rich owners the league just doesn't generate the revenue the EPL does or the big 2 in Spain do with their BS TV revenue deals. Our prospects of winning the Champions league even if we cloned Messi, Ronaldo and somehow signed Haaland we still wouldn't win that cup.

fighting those teams for players with Salaries is just insane !!! Its the reason we are in this hole. the last place EPL team makes close to us in tv revenue but we are suppose to compete with wages with the big 4?

Lets see how Hakan performs till spring, if he continues to perform like against farsa I would keep him definitely.

We are missing a quality player in every of the outfield positions, be it CF, CB, midfield or wingback

Still I don't want De Paul altho I do admit he is a good player (just how I didn't want Vidal here)

Mkhi is a temporary patch, and if we have chance to catch DePaul, we shall grab it.

I think it might be a good chance to get him in summer as all Atletico players value should decrease as all playing like shit and Simeone is unable to create a block of that team.
He is 28 and could be entering his prime in those 3 years from 29 to 31 with the correct team and coach

I don't disagree we need a midfielder next summer but i am a lot more worried about the situation in attack right now. Correa is useless and Lukaku can't stay fit. I don't want to think the possibility of Dzeko starting week in week out. If we can sign anyone in January it needs to be a forward.
