Hoping Bellanova solves that, against most logic (because it's Inter).

I came across social media posts from Tottenham fans after the game claiming this guy is "horribly average", "not very good", and that they hope they don't sign him.

EPL fans are so low iq lol. Literally an insult to football.

Don't take it personally. There were EPL fans who claimed Haaland is overrated from playing in a farmers league and he would get exposed in EPL.

Tbf even the most prolific BuLi players went on to suck ass in EPL, good recent examples would be Havertz and Werner.

Also I wouldn't say Werner and Havertz sucked ass. They are/were doing far better than Correa was at Inter

De Bruyne? Gundogan? Sane?
None of those players were signed for their goalscoring, they're all primarily playmakers except for maybe Sane. Another great example is Sancho, he was arguably the most hyped winger at the time he moved to Man Utd, but they've already basically given up on him after two seasons.

What a weird thing to compare to. They were signed for their scoring output, Chelsea paid an arm and a leg to get them. They combined for 40 goals in their last BuLi season, and ended up only scoring 10 for Chelsea in their first season. Although Havertz has become a useful player, it's a colossal waste of €130m.

Sancho is a starter for Man Utd this season. How exactly they have given up on him? Also how is Sancho used as an example but not Sane? They play in the same position.

And since you only focus on goalscoring Aubameyang was great at Arsenal.

Chelsea also won CL with those two. I don't even remember the last time Chelsea really had a good, prolific goalscorer in the team... Hazard when he was fit?

It's been an issue for them for some time and I believe it's mostly not the striker's fault.

Tbh most of Man Utd signings have underperformed there in recent seasons. Sanchez, Depay, Di Maria, etc. It's actually the best destination for ruining your career.

For every good example, there will be a ton of bad ones. I'd agree that Aubameyang was able to translate his goalscoring form to the EPL in his first couple of seasons. Does not change the fact that a lot of seemingly world class scorers weren't able to make in the EPL.

Sancho recently lost his starting spot with the emergence of Garnacho, Rashford's return to form and Antony's arrival. He was supposed to be the guy they built the team around when they first signed him.

Also, I never said Sane wasn't a legit example. Quite the opposite, I told you he was the only legit example you gave, and he's only half-legit because he wasn't signed for his scoring prowess alone. He had other things to offer, like speed, dribbling and his usefulness on both wings.

My original post was about scoring goals, so that's why I'm "only focusing on goalscoring".

Chelsea's CL win was largely a fluke, and it surely was not thanks to their attack.

It's true that they had a number nine curse for a while now but Mount, Mata, Oscar, Ramires and Lampard have great numbers for midfielders. As you said, Hazard was consistently great, Willian and Pedro were quite decent for a while, Diego Costa did great. Torres and Anelka had that one season, even wingers like Malouda and Kalou were great compared to Havertz Werner etc.

Of course, there was also Drogba, who not only was a good goalscorer, but did so much more.

I'll agree that they've been a cursed club with a terrible recruitment policy for a while now, but it's not an excuse: Bruno Fernandes is the prime example of this.

I mean he’s a solid player. Excellent mentality.
DUMFRIES ‘IN CONTACT WITH SPORTS PSYCHOLOGIST’ AFTER WORLD CUP GROUP GAMES

Inter wing back Denzel Dumfries revealed that he contacted a sports psychologist after the Netherlands reached the knock-out stages of the World Cup in Qatar.
The 26-year-old Dutch full back was the star of the show in the Oranje’s Round of 16 clash with the USA, scoring one goal and providing two assists to drive his team forward to a 3-1 win. The Netherlands will now face pre-tournament favourites Argentina in the quarter-finals, setting up a rematch of their famous quarter-final clash in 1998.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Dumfries first discussed how it felt to be the decisive player in the Netherlands’ win over the US.
“I’m happy that I was able to get revenge for myself sportingly. I can tell you that the criticism you get has not been easy. I felt I could do better than I showed in the group stage. Mentally, it was quite tough to put myself over it.”

He revealed that he starting talking to a sports psychologist after the group stages.
“I have the right people around me who help me. I have been in contact with sports psychologist Annemieke Zijerveld via Zoom in recent days.
“I have known her since my time at Sparta. There might be a bit of a taboo about talking about it. It’s not always easy being a footballer, it does something to you.
“You want to be important, you want to do the best for the team. For that, a certain mental resilience is also very important.”

Finally, Dumfries discussed the importance of keeping an eye on mental health and how talking to a sports psychologist has helped him.
“It’s important to be mentally sound. I’m honest about it, that it was quite difficult. But anyway, then you have to find the inner calm to get back to basics. She is helping me with that and I’m grateful for that.

“It might be hard to come out for it, but it’s part of the game. I’m happy that I now had the inner peace to be important to the team. It’s an underexposed aspect. We’re also vulnerable. In that respect, I think by being open about it, you can encourage others to seek help when they need it.”

Inter are open to selling Dumfries next summer and his market value is seemingly rising as he impresses at the World Cup with the Netherlands.

On the potential Denzel replacement:
Singo is the logical option. Despite being younger than Bellanova, he’s simply more advanced at this point of their respective careers. And his contract is up in the summer. It’d be foolish not to track him.
Sorry but Singo`s contract does not end this summer. He is tied until 2024 with Torino because club has unilateral option to extend.

I really would've liked a WB like Clauss. We need better crossers.

Nobody will pay it, because our mngmt will settle on 35.
More like €45m but I believe that's an acceptable fee. Players like Porro, Singo, Gusto and Frimpong should be available around or under that price tag.
