I was sure DiMaria will take it, but it was given to Lautaro. Awesome confidence booster. Maybe he'll start vs Croatia , who knows. Probably not. Supersub role.

Lost the control of the game quite quickly. Loves to blow his whistle. Should've sent Paredes and probably Van Dijk off. Maybe even some guys from the Dutch bench.
Mothefucker fucked Argentina over. Got 10 fucking minutes for the second half and booked half of the team. Worried many players might miss the final, including Messi.

He was so bad in general that I doubt any Dutch fans were happy with him either.

Well nobody misses the final as the slates are cleared for the semis, unless that rule changed or sth. However, both Acuña and Montiel will miss the game vs. Croatia. While Molina is quite good, I doubt Tagliafico's abilities and maybe Lisandro Martinez would be the better option for LB that game.

If that's the rule then it's a relief.
Tagliafico is bang average. I hope he don't screw up.

He kinda did today. Berghuis really profited off him. He's terrible when attacking and is not that great when it comes to defending after all. I think a four at the back with Martinez at LB makes more sense but it might be too risky. Molina at RB with four at the back is also a little risky so Tagliafico is guaranteed to get a lot of minutes.

The wiki says: yellow cards expire after the completion of the quarter-finals (yellow card suspensions are not carried forward to any other future international matches), so only Acuña and Montiel misses the SF, and nobody misses the final/third-place match unless they get a red card.

Hmm don’t think FIFA would let Messi miss final 😈

I mean a Serie C player still has a 90% chance of scoring it but still, I want SiamoNoi's glass ball before I enter predictions for my EURO 2024 poule.
Yes that's why it was a "not bad" prediction instead of Oracle of Delphi levels prediction.

I don't think anyone should miss games due to yellow cards in the final, it's too harsh for a once in a four years affair.

The suspension for other stages should also be after three yellows, not two.

Worst refereeing of the tournament. Many fouls were dubious and called way too late, which provoked much of the agression and toxicity we've witnessed. This ref not only lost control. He actually caused the havoc. Toxic, horrible game between two shit sides. Croatia will likely reach back to back finals, unreal.

Real question: how these extra minutes is counted? Do the refs pull them out of their asses or what? Pretty sure the first half in extra time had at least 1 minute of injury time, but Lahoz didn't count any. But he somehow decided the second half deserved 10 minutes of injury time?!

Argentinians dropped to the ground after losing possession almost every time after they realized it would usually win them a free FK. Then there was the off-screen bitching after some Argentinian player provokingly shot the ball into the Dutch bench, which lasted for minutes. Considering all of this time wasting 10 mins was expected beforehand, and justified. This game was just toxic as hell. Which was caused by horrible refereeing in the first place.

VAR apparently keeps track and decides. 10 did seem excessive, I expected something like 7.

if it’s same script as last edition, the team(Belgium, Croatia this year) beat Japan emotionally, defeat Brazil in dramatic fashion, just to lose to real winner in semifinal, Argentina has high chance.

I root for Croatia, Agrentina or Morocco, not other three.
