I`ve read that Roma want to sign him.

Roma waiting to snap up Leicester City’s Soyuncu

Roma are planning to strengthen their defence in the summer and are keen on picking up Leicester City centre back Caglar Soyuncu, reports suggest.

The 26-year-old Turkish centre back has impressed over the last few years in the Premier League, looking defensively solid and calm after making his €21.1m move from Freiburg in 2018. Soyuncu is an experienced international with Turkey and now looks ready to make the next step in his career.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Soyuncu is on track to leave Leicester City on a free transfer in the summer and Roma are keen to snap him up. The Giallorossi are now working on a contract for the Turkish centre back and are confident that they can secure his services.

The Roman club are still unsure what to do with veteran defender Chris Smalling. His agent has been in contact with Inter recently and the Englishman could leave the club in the summer, making space for Soyuncu.
If he`s proven in EPL, I expect him to stay there since there are many clubs that can offer him a higher wage.

Inter are considering Sassuolo defender Martin Erlic as a possible target to reinforce their defense
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 24-year-old Croatian international is a player on the Nerazzurri’s radar as they look for possible opportunities to sign players for their backline.

Erlic has been impressing this season for Sassuolo in Serie A.

The Croat was signed by the Neroverdi in the summer of 2021 from Spezia, but spent last campaign back on loan with the Friulians.

Erlic helped Spezia to promotion from Serie B during the 2019-20 season, and had impressed during the two subsequent campaigns in the top flight with the Friulians under Vincenzo Italiano and then Thiago Motta.

Now, the Croat’s performances with Sassuolo have further enhanced his reputation and also earned him four call-ups for the Croatian national team so far.

Inter have sent scouts to watch Erlic play in several matches for the Neroverdi already this season.
Anyone watched/remarked this lad?

Söyüncü was awesome two years ago but he's been free-falling since. Maybe a change of scenery would help.

Roma are offering Chris Smalling a new extended contract with a reduced salary, as the defender considers a free transfer to Inter
The 33-year-old’s current deal with the Giallorossi is due to expire in June 2023 and there have been repeated reports in various different sources insisting that Inter have set their sights on him for next season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Capital club would like him to remain, but are also eager to lower the wage bill.

The former England international currently picks up circa €3.5m per season net plus bonuses.

There is a clause in the contract which would allow him to unilaterally activate an extension to June 2024 with the same salary, as long as he plays half the official games this season.

However, it’s reported Roma are trying to offer Smalling a new contract to June 2025 that would spread the cost of his wages over two seasons.

Inter remain intrigued by the situation and are waiting to see how it develops.
I bet Lukaku already talked him into this. Mhiki and Dzeko might be good ambasaddors as well, I`m not concerned about Inter`s power to lure Smalldini.

If he comes as Acerbi replacement (say we don`t find agreement with Lotito), fine. But overall, should we not rather be looking at younger defender?

Inter do not know the definition of young. The most important characteristic for any player coming to the club is that they are free or cheap.

It is soul destroying.

Following transfer rumors are more stressful than watching the matches.

With us losing Dumfries, IMO i want Bellanova to start and us get a backup for him

We haven't bought out Bellanova's contract yet, so it's probably better to say goodbye to him in general

If United want Dumfries, then it is advantageous to take Dalot for +- 20 since his contract is expiring, a deal Dalot + 40 would be very good.
or with Arsenal Takehiro Tomiyasu + 40
or with Tottenham Emerson Royal + 40

He’s been pretty underwhelming but I have weird feeling that if we let him go we’ll regret it.

Or maybe in the opposite. If we sign him permanently, we will likely regret it. Not every player has to be intelligent, but at least we can stay away from these low IQ players.
