Even worse than losing Skriniar is offering De Vrij a fucking renewal. His career was over the second Giroud dominated him in the return leg derby last season and hasn’t been good for even longer than that. We already have enough continuity in the squad just move on.

Best Overall PosterEven Smalling would be an upgrade over this guy. I get they don't want to make too many changes in defense but don't they realize how much the guy has declined in the last 2 years? He's getting benched by grandpa Acerbi.

Smalling's so much better it's an insult to Smalldini to compare the two.

If we don’t have good players that can easily get them quick sales then the value of the organization declines. If we put 80% of our roster up for sale for 5-10 million each only like 5-6 guys can get us that money. Even then we over pay them so grossly that the other team will not be able to afford those wages.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFWe should have sold him after we won the scudetto and there was some mild interest in him. Now he’s been benched by Acerbi (who admittedly hasn’t been bad at all) and he’s declined as well. Unless he takes a significantly reduced salary, I see no point in renewing him.

10 years of FIFWe cannot continue with De Vrij as the starter if Inzaghi is the coach. Our setup demands more physically able CB. Indeed, even Smalling would be an upgrade over current De Vrij.
