He shouldn't be at risk, that's the only adult option at this moment.

Because the simple fact is, there are no credible options to replace him at this moment. Promoting someone like Chivu is a ridiculous proposal in my opinion.

The anger because of the poor results leads to these "just get him out, anyone else is better" etc suggestions which is easy to say in the Internet but more difficult for the people in charge to ACTUALLY make the decision of hiring the replacing coach.

Irregardless of the swing agaisnt Benfica, Inzaghi needs be kicked out after this season. He proved last season he's up to the task, but this season's unbalanced performance right from the start and throughout the season proves he is NOT up to the task. The lack of mental fortitude he can inject to the team is just too big. We can't give up the games like yesterday. Against your home crowd for fuck sake!

Very well explained @CafeCordoba, but the thing is that there is still time to recover damage of the season. I've insisted on keeping Limone until the end of the season, and then evaluation needs to be done about future and what the club has plans and strategy, but as the time goes on, it's crystal clear that Limone has lost the plot.

Sometimes you gotta make a move because you never know what's around the corner. And situation is VERY delicate, especially how we are about to enter in a phase that we will have quite a few derbies.

We are the only club in the world where it's considered unthinkable to start the season with a coach on an expiring contract. You won't find this bs narrative elsewhere. It was embarrassing Inzaghi got an extension with a salary increase after choking in the league last season. There were reasons for concern from our second round last season but our ownership and management were too blinded by winning Coppa.

They did the same with spaletti. Would have hoped they learned from past errors.

As I remember they renewed him when he had results and we played really good. Nonetheless, it was really amateurish to renew him when you still dont know how season will end.

Parolo in essence explained what Inzaghi's "freedom" means - leaving everyone on their own to figure out what to do.

I am not saying that I want Conte back but I would much rather Inter play with is structure and rigidity than the way the team plays under Inzaghi.

In translation i ll give them a freedom because I don't know how to properly manage players so i ll leave that to them and in return when things go downhill I will comment how they lack proper mentality.

And to some extent it's true, we have mental midgets in the team, but that all ultimately stems from a coach not having balls or not knowing how to put things where they need to be.

Very interesting points by Parolo. So we have very loose structure as per the design.

Issue is we indeed do not have some leaders gameplay-wise who would lead by example and drive the play. Barella COULD be that but he just gets frustrated too easily and obviously he can't do stuff by himself.

Lukaku SHOULD be that guy who we throw the ball and he creates havoc but he ain't that anymore. And he's never been a guy who's some superstar to drive the play. Lukaku needs that rigid structure and the whole game orchestrated around his strengths. None of that happens with Inzaghi.

All this leads to conclusion Inzaghi is not for Inter.

But we cannot change him mid-season, hoping another guy would do any better. We ain't gonna have some new system at April, working immediately with some new random guy. We still dominate most of the games and new guy can't put the ball to the net, that is our players' job.

If they decide to keep him for the first Benfica match, then fucking keep him till the end of the season.

If this 10th defeat was not enough for the management then who cares if we play the Europa League or Conference League next season.

No one is suggesting Chivu is a superior coach to Inzaghi. It's clear as day the bottom is falling out of this season. Continuing to employee Inzaghi is going to lead to a massive failure on three fronts. So our management has two options: stay the course, and watch the train crash in slow motion, or try and inspire change. Chivu might give us a bit of a dead cat bounce by galvanizing the locker room.

Will Marotta do this? No chance. But I don't see the point in staying the course. It's clear as day that our trajectory for the season is:
1) Finishing 5th or 6th in the league
2) Losing to Juventus in the semifinal
3) Losing to Benfica in the quarterfinal

Еven if we win the Coppa and eliminate Benfica, finishing on 5th spot will be massive failure for Inter.
Marotta won't replace him just like he kept Spalletti to the end, risking the CL qualification. Now, it will be the same most probably, but I'm not positive at all.

This really aligns with everything so far. I would agree this Inter might not synergize with Inzaghi, cause we lack of a true captain as @CafeCordoba mentioned; which means he will be a great manager for some other top clubs (not even sure are we one anymore) like Real Madrid, Bayern, but not for PSG, ManU/city, clubs that doesn't have a long tenure natural leader, or a lot of mature, professional players.
I think if we hire a locker room manager this might fix the problem, I think we did something like this back then.

Overall, I still prefer having Inzaghi + a locker room manager than one just gives a rigid, highly disciplined squad with trash tactics, cause we will have a very clear ceiling; with Inzaghi it is going to be volatile as F, cause the whole club isn't stable at this point, and he won't be able to control the group like mentioned in the video.

If we get eliminated by Benfica, I am all in for getting rid off him right away.

Another good coach that might not work well with us at the end.

P.S. it is kinda funny how Allegri & Conte did in the CL in contrast to Inzaghi. I mean if we are all in for a substantial investment each year and content on doing just well domestically, then yea get a rigid coach; else the way I see it is it is risky with Inzaghi, but there are also chances to achieve more; also if he had the right support, things might be different.

Was hoping to wake up with the news of his firing. I don't understand the management. He's lost 4/5 last games. Forget CL, that's relegation level performance.

He'll only be allowed to stay if he manages top4 in the league and reaches the final in champions
