Financially maybe, but please do not be under any illusion that selling our key players will improve our performance.
At this moment Onana, Bastoni, Barella are key players.

His next goal will be his 100th for Inter. It's unlikely he'll make our top 10 of all time goalscorers until the end of the season (he needs 106 for that), but if he stays with us, he has a very realistic chance of beating Icardi's tally (124) next year, in the same amount of seasons.

So proud of him. Even at his worst form, his efforts were never missing. However last night he was just brilliant. Him pressing opponents like a mad man is nothing new, as he does that in usual. Then his movements, dribblings and everything else it's a pure beauty. Glad that he scored as well. Grande Lautaro. Such a great man above everything.

Against no club has Lautaro Martinez scored more goals in his career than AC Milan (𝟴)

Dude has some Icardi-Juve numbers against Milan

And somehow the guy who scored 25 and assisted 10 is not? The dude has the entire pressing system on his shoulder and still has his influence in more than 1/3 of the goals the team scored and is not a key player lol.... Lautaro just can't seem to win.

6 goals away from being the top scorer in the story of the derby.

As much as I criticize Lautaro, that is impressive since he can realistically pull it off.

As soon as Icardi wasn't featuring anymore and Lautaro was scoring for us, it was obvious he is good enough for Inter.

He should have scored 40+ goals in a season in all tournaments. He can not score, the fact that he scored in the last match does not cancel his reputation as one of the most wasteful forwards in professional football.

He is extremely streaky, I think its a fairly objective thing to say that Lautaro is a very streaky striker. For me, he often scores the spectacular and fucks up the easy, which is a real shame, because if he could just improve his clinical finishing like 20%, he'd score quite a few more goals and a lot of the doubts about him would be dispelled

It's great that he's come to form at the right point in the season, but we should also consider that, in 35 CL games at Inter, he's only scored 10 goals, and some of our previous seasons we would have progressed further with even 1 or 2 more critical goals from lautaro

I know what argument some people will use - but he was the second striker, etc, etc. I dont think that argument holds up particularly well in this season, where he's 3 in 12 and Lukaku's been out injured for most of the season, nor last season when we didnt have Lukaku and he was 1 in 8.

Don't have one.
The biggest fucking masterclass was giving him an armband. You can see he is the type of dude that absolutely thrives when you give him those sorts of responsibilities. You have a feeling he runs twice as much just because of it.

As for his faults I already made peace with it, he is a streaky 20 goals a season striker, and if we plan to keep him, which I think we should, we need to bring another striker that works well with those types of faults.

Yeah, I won't act like I'm one of his biggest fans, but he certainly have some qualities that make him special.

I'm cool with selling for huge money, but I'm also interested in playing him with the right partner, which, the 37year old Džeko, isn't. He might've been 7 years ago, but not now.

In any case, as long as we don't fuck up this summer transfer window, Lautaro has a bright future at Inter still.

How many strikers score 40+ goals in a two striker attack?
Also you might want to check the stats because the strikers who score the most usually are the one who shoot the most and the ones who miss the most. He is not specially wasteful, he is right on par with the best in Europe if you exclude that norwegian anomaly. He is streaky, that's true. But in a two striker pair, the ideal situation would be to have the other striker pull his weight when Lautaro is finding it a bit difficult to score. Then most of the negative comments wouldn't even be seen because even when he doesn't score Lautaro's contribution is crucial.

In Serie A

In Premier League

In La Liga

And it's the same in Ligue 1 and Bundesliga. Also in this numbers, the second strikers and the wingers are special cases because it's obviously way more tough to achieve high numbers when you're not a target man and the chances are split with other attackers.

These sponsorless couple of matches might be fondly regarded as a blessing in disguise
