I still think alot of the credit should go to the Omani's for how the Aussies played..

Now its Japan and Qatar...I am rooting for the underdogs ofcourse.

by all means Ziyad,

like i said from my first post there shouldnt be any excuses for the aussies as everyone has the same conditions to deal with,

and yes Oman was clearly the superior side,;)
ON THE DAY:p

UAE didn't play cowardly...they just played like they had won the world cup and that Vietnam was going to be easy. It was one of the most pathetic displays that I have ever seen in WORLD FOOTBALL.

Not since 1996 did I have slight hope in my country when it comes to football and after playing good in the gulf cup and seeing the talent we have, i thought maybe we stand a chance of walking out with our heads high.

So far, the players are a bunch of dicks, the only football they deserve to see should be by playing winning eleven.

Osim criticised the preparation of the Japanese FA for the tournament..

It seems it's not really enough for Japan to turn out to win.

Great..now Iran has to beat Uzbeks tomorrow and I can really look forward for the cup coming home. ;)

Well 1-1 First half Bahrain-Indonesia

Bahrain missed 2 clear cut chances upfront but the finishing sucks.Indonesia's goal was nicely assissted. Both defenses looked shaky.

Almost the best match yet after Oman-Australia

Bahrain = PATHETIC

What a merda performance by Bahrain national today!! :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:

The lost against bunch of nobodies that didn't how to pass the ball!! I mean it was like I'm watching a game between a national side and neighbourhood XI select!!

Yet, the team that was one goal away from securing a world cup birth lost!! No fighting spirit, no clear plan and no organization at all?!!

I wonder why they are participating in this competition while teams like Kuwait and Jordan are out of it. I'm not trying to take credit from Indonesia for winning this match but in truth they won it because they played against a dead side!!

I'm so ashamed of what happened today and I know for a fact that this blow will only make the team play worse in the coming games instead of making them get back to what they were!!!

May god help us not to be thrashed in the next two games because I'm expecting nothing less that record defeats.

Well Congrats to Indonesia and hardluck Bahrain..

Bahrain will not amount to anything if they cant finish upfront..3 clear cut chances in the first half 2 of them for Alaa Hubail who was terrible today.

Hussain Ali should start the next game and Talal Yousif should be put in earlier and we should be more aggressive infront of goal !

Well, with the amount of time Oman wasted during the match came back to haunt them because Cahill scored in stoppage time. Perhaps if Oman stayed on their feet for longer, they could've had more chances to score, instead of bringing in the bloody stretcher every 5-10 minutes.

Bahrein benched 3 first team players, no?? Why was Talal rested??

Tomorrow Iran...the first game of TM in years I'm really really excited about and look forward to. I was at a point to not expect anything anymore from TM, but the pictures of the team camp, the mood in the squad, the friendlies against Jamaica and Ghana etc. that all looked great!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to see the game tomorrow but will try and follow it from the LIVE reports given on ISP. I will however see the China game this Sun – so that should be good.
I know its early stages but based on what I’ve read and also the highlights that I’ve seen from the so called big teams we should be even more confident of clinching it.

Anyway, I know I’m going to get a lot of stick when I say this, but apart from Australia I don’t mind any other team winning it if we now don’t win it. They are too cocky for their own good basically! ;)

Well after watching how crappy Bahrain national team was my only hope lays now with Team Melli (I'm of Persian descent). I hope the post Ali Daei Iran put a respectable performance and show its true worth.

hehehehehehehee!!!! :D

nerazzuri...good to know that. :)

Daei had bashed a couple of players before the tournament indirectly, specially Karimi. They should really be on fire to prove a point.

Great through pass from Ando and then a neat finishing to score our second.
Big question mark should be raised for Rahman!! What the heck is he doing? I was expecting much more from a regular Serie A player! He better get his act together...

Somehow Rahman and Asian Cup don't get together...

he had another bad situation, where he gave the ball simply away..

Anyway, let's see what happens..
2nd half was good, Kazemian killed their left side and he was a great sub.
Enayati was terrible, he needs to stick to Hashemian as a single striker, and give Mehdi and Karimi more freedom for offense.

I'm from indonesia and was at the Stadium. The atmosphere was really great and maybe Bahrain players became a little nervous that several good chances couldnt be turned into goals. The one that turned into goal was precisely a mistake from indonesia defenses, not a set up play. Bad thing about Indonesia defenders were they're too confident and wanted to dribble past the opponents. And if you think there's no good player from Indonesia you're wrong. Too bad our most skillful player Boaz (20y-o) was injured in a friendly match, otherwise scouts would be keeping eyes on him.
