Forum Supporter10 years of FIFJimenez and Kovac are two totally different players. One is an attacking midfielder who can play all the attacking positions in midfield while the other is a defensive midfielder.

10 years of FIFWell sure, but buying 2 midfielders is too much, given that Figo is staying. Jimenez/Stankovic/Figo/Solari for offensive and Kovac/Zanetti/Cambiasso/Vieira/Dacourt would be too much. Zanetti,Cambiasso,Vieira,Stankovic - would be our starters, Jimenez,Solari,Figo,Kovac,Dacourt left out. Mancini wants 1 att and 1 def midfielder for bench, Figo and Dacourt. That means Solari,Kovac and Jimenez would sit on the stands, no no no.
I say we sign one, and deki will play either at MC or AMC depending the role of the newcomer.
edit. Just thought about if we miss out on Chivu, maybe Mancio would consider playing Zanetti at leftback position. That would free up one position in midfield, making us need 2 players.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFSevilla aren't in a hurry to sell him. While Jimenez has stated he won't play for lazio again so he is easier to get and Kovac would love to join Inter so they are easier to get.

10 years of FIFthe good news about jimenez is that he comes on loan so there is no money wasted, inter will test him and if he it's any good will get him, the inter of 3 or 4 years probably would have get him for 10 millions and not play him never, maybe we are getting smart or something.
also jimenez is only 23 years old, i thought he was 27 or 28.
if cambiasso or vieira or jz are injured. we will probably see stankovic moving back, and figo playing in stankovic role, then jimenez will be the first option if figo gets injured.

I'd say that in this summer season us fans we are amusing ourselves by dreamposting and not only commenting on our favourite players around, but also inventing new game systems rotating players as if they were toy soldiers on a table... In our mind we shift them in roles and actions that before we snap our fingers become so real. In our minds...
I'd say it's not only wishful thinking but almost like a religious hypnosis and we should better get our eyes open before the reality washes our faces. As a non expert I risk to be laughed at, but I can imagine that 99 percent of people around here would swore that the system that Inter actually plays is a 4312 and nothing else, and I could also kinda imagine a tel. call to Mancini that would go stg. like: 'Buongiorno signore, very sorry for bothering you, but could you please tell me what system Inter plays and intends to play next year?' 'Non c'e problema son, we play 442.' 'Grazie.' 'Prego.'
That is why I think our dream playmakers are not a realistic and feasible option.

Good thing it's Jimenez, he's shown he can deliver at Serie A level, we know jack shit about Kovac. Who is besides much older than Jimenez and we would have to pay the transfer fee to get him. The chilean is a much better choice. :thumbsup:
