Mancini sets sights on Super Cup

Inter forward Amantino Mancini is determined to beat his former side Roma in the Italian Super Cup.

The Brazilian talent moved from the Giallorossi to the Nerazzurri last month after falling out with Coach Luciano Spalletti.

And the former Venezia man is clear where his loyalties lie as he prepares for the annual meeting of the Cup winners and the League champions.

“We will be in top form on August 24 and we will take the Super Cup home with us,” Mancini told the Corriere dello Sport.

“We want to win it so that we can start the season in the best way possible. Everyone is working hard to ensure that we are ready for the game.

“Things are going great and I have plenty of motivation. When I concentrate I always do great things.”

Mancini scored his first Inter goal to seal a 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Franz Beckenbauer Cup on Tuesday evening.

Roma beat Inter in last season’s Super Cup with a Daniele De Rossi penalty separating the two sides.

he is fast enough, but clearly not the fastest. if i'm not mistaken, he can reach 100 m only in 11.8 seconds (from what i read in gazzetta). this is my order based on the players' speed : suazo, cordoba, maicon, adriano (i know you will be confused but he is one of the fastest according to adriano's interview in gazzetta), and balotelli.

Mancini is the best player in form right now. He has the speed and skills too. He has the intellegce and others too. He's just a great Left Winger aswell.
He said that here in Inter Mourinho treats all the players in same form and Spalleti didn't do it.
After it I could understand why Totti is always like nervous during playing football

I don't think Mancini gets enough credit in this forum, he was simply brilliant when he came on, he made so much impact and worked very well with Zlatan, yet no ones mentioned it?

I thought he did great..Probably his best performance so far in an Inter shirt.I am looking for more however especially in the CL. Having him on one win and Quaresma on the other is a mouth watering soon to be reality.

When will Mourinho get into his thick skull that Figo isnt starting material? He can have possitive effect comming on in the second half when the opponents are getting tired, but not from the start.

I cant see all this Figo bashing. Figo played much better yesterday. Ok, he made a terrible cross, but he was on both wings and moved. An improvement I guess... Mansini was great, but Figo wasnt that bad either...

Figo perhaps just gave his best performance of this season until now. But it was clear he was slowing down the attack. We also missed a lot of goal scoring chances to make it bad.

That's what crossed my mind as well. I think Mou would want a match fit winger for the Pana match and thinks that Qua won't be 100% fit since the Catania match would be his first competitive match in a very long time, considering RQ didn't have a proper pre-season with Porto.

And yes, Mancini did very well as a substitute. :star:

mancini played great when he was brought on

all those years playing with roma's 4-2-3-1 set him up perfectly for the role he was required to play against catania

really ibra needed to finish the good work from mancini that game to put the game to bed

Mancini was great, but because he is better as a sub. coming fresh out of the bench.

O'Cigano > Mancini

Balotelli/Zlatan/RQ77 the best attack we can have. But they will need some weeks to learn to play together, too bad Figo is bothering that.
