Transfer GuruGuys, do we actually need a midfielder? Wingers, sure. But surely we have enough midfielders if we are keeping Sneijder...
Sneijder, Alvarez, Stankovic, Cambiasso, Obi, Motta, Zanetti
Gasperini only uses 3 midfielders at a time, and for me, the above are good enough to provide a decent midfield with adequate, quality cover. So peerhaps we should be talking about how to get rid of some midfielders (Muntari, Mariga).
Attacking wingers we definately need 1 or 2. That should be the focus area for Inter this summer, along with another decent CB.

And before anybody shits on diego, he wasn't a flop at juve (more so has to do with their shit coaches) and for 5mils, he is better than 90% of our current midfielders.

5m would be a good price, but it would halt the development of Coutinho of Alvarez in whom we've already invested alot.

But he plays in the same position as wes. You think they can play together?? Diego doesn't solve the cm problem imho.

10 years of FIFI don't think those players' development would be hindered at all. It just gives us a better chance of fielding a more dynamic team and ENSURES that we have zero use for players like Muntari and Pandev. Send them a stronger message that they will not be seeing any playing time this year.
And with everything in football, talent is a small piece of the pie. A huge piece of the pie is fortune, especially with respect to transfer moves. Robinho made a bad one to ManC, but got saved by Milan. Diego made a HUGE ERROR going to Juve.

Diego can and has played anywhere along the offensive line. AM, advanced CM, LAM, RAM. He's played them all.
Now, again, my preference is we fill spots we need (pure CM with high technical abilities), so I would focus on Banega/Guarin, but seeing that we will most likely sell Wes next year, I don't mind buying Diego for 5 FUCKIN MILS now...

Diego doesn't like being bogged down with defensive duties. we saw as much at Juve where he was under utilized. you want to get the best out of him you play him either as a AMF or SS, not a winger or whatever rubbish. waste of time. none of which we have mind. lets not over complicate things, focus on what we need.
If its not available, then fuck it, lets save that 5m for a rainy day.

Forum SupporterWhat about Gago on the last days of the mercato when his price is cheapest? He is somewhat experienced on the highest level and can offer something to our midfield. His age is also a positive factor, and the fact that we have good luck turning around rejects from Madrid.

i really cant understand why Juve is spending much on mercato while we cant. We didnt spend much money the year before on the market, we sold ibra for 40 m euros+Eto'o. We didnt spend much last season, we have spent on Ranocchia and Pazzini in january market and now we cant spend. We need to sell Eto'o or Sneijder of FFP.
Taxes should be solved by italian Goverment, italian football cant compete with Spanish or English sides, even German sides passed us. We need to invest on our stadiums which can bring at least 100-150 m euros a year to clubs, but we are paying for stadium. We are giving high wages.
We are selling our best player, +20 goals scorer, Eto'o won many games alone last season. A game changer. We will lose much in quality, as he is one of the best strikers in the world.
We linked with Casemiro, he costs 20 m euros at least. banega? Gago? is Casemiro really better than Obi? or he is really enough to be a starter?
