BTW, a couple players that I think could be good buys for Inter are two Paraguayans I liked from the Copa: Marcelo Estegarribia and Nestor Ortigoza. Estegarribia is a LW/LM and Ortigoza is a CDM/DeepLying playmaker...Estegarribia is owned by Le Mans, but both players play in SA.

Marca once again links Kaka to Inter.

El fichaje de Kaka por el Inter es una cuestiòn personal para Moratti.
"The signing of Kaka for Inter is a personal matter for Moratti." (Google translate)

Marca has never got anything right. It's not a newspaper, it's just Madrid propaganda and as much as I hate Barca, Marca's anti Barca rhetoric is disgusting. Probably more extreme than our "I hate Barca" thread. I'm all for slagging on Barca, but if you're going to call yourself a newspaper, at least try to pretend you're being factual or objective.

 @ us signing Kaka. What a stupid rumor

So we're going to sell Eto'o due to his age and wages and then turn around and buy... Kaka!

Makes perfect sense

Yeah. What makes it even more perfect is the fact that Gasperini seems to need about 0 central attacking midfielders. We already have few too many.

Next question
Tbh enough with players who come from SA leagues so far.

Why?
Moratti has always said that buying italians or other europeans is more expensive.
South American players are cheaper and are eager to come specially to a team with so many SA.

HYDEZ I agree with your posts.
Ortigoza is a chubby midfielder with good passing.
But I was mostly impressed with Estigarribia. Even though he slowly faded away (to the point of not starting in the final) he seems a really interesting player and is only 23. Has lots of stamina, he ran through the midfield from attack to defense and didn't let Maicon get past him when facing Brazil. I read somewhere that JuBe was after him :sob:

Because imo we need players who can make immediate impact and those players who have never had that kind of experience are huge gambles. However I'm not saying that I am fully against that kind of transfer policy but since we already bought Jonathan and Alvarez (who I welcome) I think we need to look for proven players in Europe with experience and quality. We don't need more players who need to adapt their game to the European/Serie A style for mire than 1 year, at least for this mercato period.

Year right 100%

But then again signing 32 year old Forlan doesn't make any sense either but we are after him.

i beg to differ. if we need that proven player edge we wudnt have let eto'o go or contemplate sniejders exit even. following the strategy i strogly think inter are looking to first reduce their overhead costs. secondly bring in younger players.

that said forlan may just be the odd deal following the second point. kaka on the other hand not only contradicts both points but is just pointless.

Signing Forlan makes no sense, but at least you're talking about a total package of about 15mil with the transfer fee and wages. Kaka would cost/make much more. They're both terrible ideas, Kaka is just on a larger scale. But I'm not sure we can count on Branca to make deals that actually make sense, so who knows.

Because we don't need them right now.
Our priorities should go to Tevez,Vertonghen, Lavezzi/Zaraté and A decent CM(creative one, not Lass-style)

I want him as well. Gasp counts only Deki, Cuchu and Motta for CM pos. That's very few.

Montolivo's ball-holding skill and his technic is welcomed on our CM. Young, Pazzo's best friend, Italian, relative cheap. (maybe some swap-deal is available)

After Moratti & Della Valle's back and forth last week, I think it's pretty unlikely we strike a deal with Fiorentina.

I swear the only reason people want Montolivo is because he's Italian. If the dude was any other nationality no one here would even want to touch the guy.
