with our full squad i think we are very capable this season. im falling for our situation:proud:. the gambles we are taking make sense. this is going to be a fun season if gasp pulls through...

After watching Wesley play for the Orange against San Marino. It is extremely obvious how amazing and controlling Wes is in his natural role as an attacking midfielder.

Mr Gasperini, Please please please please take note of this and play Wes in this role ! Don't try to reinvent the wheel ! just do it !

Forget it for now. He'll now more than ever be adamant on playing his 3-4-3 with Forlan and Zarate upfront. Only a disaster will change it.

Without Forlan in the CL group stage he might feel the need to change it. Hopefully.

i don't want to be a pessimist. for some reasons, i feel that this is going to be an exciting season for us if gasperini manages to get things right. once the squad is comfortable and used to his ways, then there's nothing wrong with dreaming for another treble. we certainly have the players to do it once again.

Gasperini is a smart coach......He is not stupid. If you go back to some of his initial interviews, he has stated many times that 3-4-3 is not the only formation we will be playing this season. He said that he will line the team up based on our opponent and the players he has available. He is looking to teach tactical flexibility within the team so when needs be we can be ready to make the necessary changes to win games.

Yes we all know the pre season has not gone that well but there are reasons:

1. He only got here a couple of months ago. He needs time to work.

2. The core of the team knows how to play 4-4-2, 4-3-1-2 and other similar variations as this is how we have played for many years. Hence the reason why he has been trying other formations such as 3-4-3, 3-5-1-1, 4-3-3, in the pre season where it does not matter. I think in time this will be a great asset as we will not be as predictable with our play and we will start to see some flowing football.

3. He has not had a full squad to work with since taking on the job. The Coppa America and U20 World Cup meant many players needed extended holidays. Our Mercato dealings were left until the last minute so only as of a week a go, Gasperini has a squad more suited to his needs. The International break this week means again he has a depleted squad to get ready for the first competitive match of the season.

It has been a tough introduction to life at a big club for Gasperini. Any coach experienced or not would have found it hard taking on a new team with the above conditions. In the next 16 days we play 6 matches. 4 league games against palermo, Roma, Novara and Bolonga, mixed with 2 Champions League fixtures - at home to Trabzonsbor and a tough away match in Russia against CSKA who are allot further ahead in their season.

I think you will see the real Gasperini come this weekend when the fun is over and it is time to get down to business. He has my 100% support. I think he is going to prove allot of doubters wrong.

FORZA GASPERINI......FORZA INTER PER LA VITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how do rate these conditions v the conditions Leo had, yet Leo was shitted on by 99% of Inter fans?

I'm tired of all the Gasp talk tbh. Whether he is smart, not smart, good, great, 3 in the back defense is fail or is the future, tactical genius, teacher or whatever.

It's time to put up or shut up.

How was the mood here when Rafa was hired?

Hopefully he will be given full season before judged/fired.

I must have been part of the 1% cause I actually wanted Leo to stay and try and develop his skill as a coach.

As for Gasp - I back him to put up and shut many people up.....

Most of the people were happy. I for instance, was not at all, always thought Rafa was one of the most overrated coaches out there, who has no clue about motivating and man management. I was one of the few that were saying he would ruin us, and ppl were mocking me.

I was also right about Leo, i said that he will do great against weak/average teams, but might flop against tactily good opponent.

And for Gasp, im undecided, i think he will do well, once our team settles with 3 man defense, OR even better, if Gasp stops being stubborn and switch to 4 man defense. I'll wait till 30th of october to judge.

I am also part of that 1% who wanted Leo to stay, thought we would be able to build with Leo and he could be a good coach plus felt like players liked him. If Leo had a healthy defense last year we would have one serie a, as we were down in the table and he pulled us within sight of title but we just missed out. Figured upper inter management would give him a chance since he did so well on such short notice.
