Oscar would be a great signing. But Internacional just bought his rights for about 6M euros (or 15M reais). It is not gonna be easy to get him.

And Giovinco is garbage. A Juventus flop and IMO he is not good enough to big-club key player.
What Serie A have you been watching for the last two years?! He has progressed greatly as a player, he's been racking up goals and assists lately, by far Parma's best player, Juventus are just stupid that's all. They let Del Piero leave on a free, I think that says it all.

giovinco had 15 goals-16 assists in 36 league games. sneijder had 4 goals-5 assists in 20 league games.

Giovinco is a striker, Sneijder is a playmaker. Of course the italian is gonna score more goals than Sniper.

About the the assists, Giovinco had 11, not 16. And Sneijder was never a playmaker who had a lot of assists. In 09/10 (the best year of his career) he only had 15.

Would you place Giovinco on Sneijder's position? That's the problem of judging a player by using only statistics.

Sneijder
Sneijder's two-footedness and passing range are what make him essential to our attack. We will lose much more than some people realize if Sneijder leaves, IMO. First priority should be to keep Sneijder, sign a LW, and reinforce the backline as much as possible, CB, LB, RB all welcome!

He played two years in Juventus and was worthless. They were not stupid, they just understood that he doens't have the potential to play for a big club.

However, if he was signed by loan with a buying clause, I'd think it was valuable. Otherwise, spending money with this kind of player is just crazy.

:chan:

They play not only in different roles but also in different areas on the pitch. Giovinco is a wide player. Exactly the kind of player we need and saw in Lavezzi. Investing in him, who is now a proven Serie A player would be a safer bet than any other options like Kagawa, Gaitán and James Rodriguez, who could very well flop in Italy like many others did before them. For me, Giovinco and Ramirez should be the next options once they realise we're not landing Lavezzi.

ya it is 11 sorry. of course u cant judge ONLY by statistics, by they tell u how much hes contributed compared to sneijder. dont say hes not a big game player. no one with that many goals and assist is a failure

Giovinco played almost exclusively as a second striker in a central role this year and that's where he excelled. He can play out wide, but it's somewhat a waste of his abilities. With that said, I'd much rather have Giovinco than most of these players we're being linked to.

From Michael's post:

"Lass The latest suggestion in the midfield is called Lassana Diarra. The 27 year-old Frenchman at Real Madrid where he is on the bench more often than on the field. Lass is also liked at Napoli who will have to solve the same problem as the Nerazzurri: the midfielder is making 3 million a season and there is an offer of Spartak Moscow of 4.5 million. Fernando and Sahin are the names that fading away. For the Turkish midfielder, Real Madrid are asking 10 million (considered to much by Inter) for a player who is fresh from a season in the infirmary."

This is just sad! 10 million is too much for Sahin?!

He doesn't have the right characteristics, ;) M'Villa is too expensive, De Jong rumors are just that rumors, and we most probably will end up with a deal with Mudingayi. :work:

I understand that M'Vila costs a lot, but I think he is set to be one of the world's next best midfielders! If we don't get him now, it would be a waste! The good news is that he wants to leave Rennes this summer and the two clubs who have shown the most interest are Inter and Arsenal. The latter have reportedly pulled out of the race for him and are turning their attention to De Jong (http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...enal-transfer-interest-manchester-city-852970) which leaves Inter the most likely club to get him, which may mean that his price could be forced down due to the player's wishes. If we got him for 10 million, then I would be VERY happy. He could play alongside Guarin in 4-2-3-1 of the formation.
