Of the possible opponents we could have drew
Vaslui , Atromitos , Anzhi , Tromso and Neftchi Baku

Vaslui have the highest UEFA coefficient. Which means we got a shit draw.

They are Romanian, probably not as bad as drawing Anzhi, but they still gave Lazio trouble last season.

I'm just glad we didn't get FC Eto'o…I mean Anzhi.

Watching Eto'o running circles around Rano and co. would have brought way too many tears to my eyes…I miss him so much. :eek:kay:

Ok, they played two days ago with Fenerbahce, 1-1 in Turkey, 1-4 in Piatra-Neamt where plays matches at home (neutral). At 1-1, they missed penalty (Ndoye, a very impulsive player, but good DM). Best player from Vaslui is Lucian Sanmartean, playmaker, very good at dribbling, plays on the wing, ex-Panathinaikos, Utrecht. They have a good team overall. They have Marius Niculae as centre forward, ex Dinamo Bucharest, but played at Sporting Lisbon in 2001-2005, Standard Liege, Mainz, strong, good finishing. Their coach is also very impulsive, ex player of Rapid Bucharest, Marius Sumudica. Other strikers: Mike Temwanjera, slow, strong, good at finishing but very predictable. Sabrin Sburlea, not so good, inconsistent. Nicolae Stanciu is an attacking midfielder, he seems good, but is young, without experience.

Their owner invested this summer, Adrian Porumboiu. He brought a very good goalkeeper, Danut Coman, also ex Rapid Bucharest. Fernando Varela (centre back) from Feirense seems pretty good, but an pacey striker could make his life like hell. Elias Charalambous (centre back) was brought from Karlsruher on free transfer. Milito can deal with them easily, even without the pace.

As a team, they are pretty good, although transferred almost 18 players this summer. Adailton, ex Bologna, Genoa, played at Vaslui until last season when he retired.

Turns out Vaslui have the highest UEFA coefficient among all the unseeded teams. In fact they should have been seeded if not for the whole Anorthosis/Dila debacle.

Well if Trabzan & Hajduk can beat us at our own home, anybody, & I mean anybody in the whole damn world can. As long as this pathetic management is calling the shots, we're not safe from anybody.

& I though losing to Tottenham was pretty bad 2 years ago.

Age doesn't mean shit. No one used to know Anzhi fucking Makhachkala , but yet we know it know.

Clubs 100+ years old exist every where but the problem is what they do in these years. And don't take this personally dude , on the draw time i knew who FC Vaslui was , that means they have done smth outside Romania no matter how unimportant that smth was , on the countrary i don't know any Bosnian club at all except Siroki Brijeg or smth, because most of what our clubs do is face each other in 1st or 2nd qualifying rounds.

I know them pretty well of course, surely a better and a bit more experienced team than the Split crew. Fener had 150 very tough minutes dealing with them, the lack of experience and clinical finishing though killed their enthusiasm in the end. Vaslui's defense is shit, their coach a stupid cunt, maybe it won't be a walk in the park but in the end Inter will win both legs surely with an in form Milito.

That is going to be a harder opponent than Hajduk for sure. Last year they were 2nd in Romania and just 1 point behind Cluj. In their EL group stage they were third, but draw with Lazio twice - 2:2 and 0:0, managed to win against Sporting Lisbon 1:0.

It's going to be an interesting game.
