We actually looked pretty good for stretches of this game, then a penalty from nowhere. It was a penalty but man I’m not sure what Bastoni is supposed to do.
The second goal I will put on Dimarco. Dude just get up once the play keeps moving. If we are playing on then what’s the point of faking an injury? The ref still could have stopped it but it’s a unnecessary risk.
The 3rd goal is the SMS special. He’s so used to scoring against us he just doesn’t know how to stop even when he’s been shit. Embarrassing marking because we obviously didn’t have our heads in the game after feeling like we were wronged.
We aren’t the same team as last year. We are back to giving teams confidence. Unfortunately we are going to be in the rat race with everyone. I don’t see a single team in this league that will run away with it. It certainly won’t be us unless we make some serious moves in January, and even then I’m still not completely sold on Inzaghi. The team has looked shaky since week 1. Nothing has changed.

So rightfully the game did not need to stop
However Lazio players should have shown some sportsmanship (but were not obliged to), hence why our players got their nickers in a twist.

Still, its early in the season it is post international break which is never good and Lazio although we really should be beating them have an exemplary record at home. If we hadn’t given the a penalty we would have won this game tho....
we were better even after they tied but we could have put more pressure to go for the win.

My biggest worry is that there was no game plan, no chemistry between the players. It was a bad game from most players but the lack of a teamdisplay was the biggest shock for me.
