How old is that old time interista? Bcoz serie a is always "the league for washed up footballer" since I start watching it (early to mid 2000s back when it's still considered one of top 3 alongside epl & la liga).
There's no denying that serie a is shit/in continuous decline since calciopoli, but players age is hardly a good indicator for those. The attendance in stadium, the results of Italian clubs in Europe or financial revenues (TV rights & sponsorship) of said clubs is much more better indicator. After all, Manchester united and PSG are relying on 35++ as their main source of goals, yet nobody will say that it's a sad day for English and France football
I really appreciated your opinion, but for us that mostly became fans from 1998-1999, we are adamant that serie a used to be a league for prime footballer,
Marcelo salas, lopez, boban , ivan zamorano, crespo, sheva , and both inter and milan used to be lead by a strikers in their best year
(like Bierhoff, sheva, weah, adriano, ibrahimovic )

Both inter and milan , no longer have the resources to recruit the best player in their position, which is deeply concerning for us here, we honestly don't know what's really wrong with the league as a whole, but we really hope that there's gonna be changes within the league

Honestly speaking, most of fans in our group were only following inter and italian league, we don't know the real condition of premier league, but if both psg and man u still have the resources to recruit the best player available,

and we believe most of the english team are capable to recruit the best player, then it's not a sad day for epl ( we dont know too much about ligue so we can't make any comment)

Watching Sassuolo vs Lazio. Fratessi is a no brainer, bring him as soon as possible. Great engine, technical and can actually strike a ball.

Scamacca has looked the most likely for Sassuolo. One sketchy giveaway in midfield from him, otherwise he’s been decent enough. I would like to see him get a bit more involved in the overall play. He’s staying high and waiting for service. He’s actually got nice flicks in his locker ala Giroud.

Raspadori has looked the worst of the bunch (that are linked to Inter). Not bad still, he’s been very busy and gets involved a lot. I just struggle to see what he would add to our side at the moment besides another body for rotation.

It's Frattesi you punk, not Fratessi.

I want that guy signed right now. As I said in the disgusting FIF whatsapp chat, he plays very much like Barella, except he doesn't turn into an 8 year old child and shit his pants every time he's in a goalscoring situation.

He very clearly possesses a finesse when it comes to finishing and it's obvious he has the sense of mind to place the ball, or strike it a certain way, in order to achieve the desired outcome. Compare this to Barella (or Lautaro for that matter) who just close their eyes and swing with full power (which is not very powerful anyway).

Beyond his articulate midfield play and passing sensibility, his tenacity and speed are fantastic. Most refreshing of all is his ability to pick up the ball and just drive forward with it. Just absolutely run at cunts. That's something we really lack in this squad. He's a great dribbler - not in a fuckhead street dribbler kind of way, but in the Zanetti kind of way. His movement and control are excellent, and he doesn't need to rely on fucking stepovers and all this fancy garbage to go past players and create forward momentum. Absolutely invaluable skill.

Easily the breakout player from this season I've been most impressed with so far. I really hope Marotta is gunning hard to secure him for next season and I'd be happy to pay anywhere near the region of €30-35m for him. Considering half our midfielders are fucking trash or always injured, Frattesi would be an amazing 4th player to rotate with the first-choice trio.

I will never forget that we could've signed Vlahovic if it weren't for motherfucking Suning and all their bullshit financial issues. We sold Lukaku and Hakimi for a combined fee of nearly €200m. We turned around and spent... 15m of that on Dzeko and Dumfries (Correa is on a loan).

Any reasonable owner would've reinvested, at bare minimum, half of that money, and the place we needed to reinvest it is Vlahovic. The guy is an absolute beast. Already a significantly better player than Lautaro IMO, probably Lukaku as well for that matter.

The idea that he wants to move to juve... this juve? Is just fucking disgusting. Scamacca would be a decent-ish consolation prize, but unlike Vlahovic, he's definitely not ready to be the outright starting forward.

Don't really care for Raspadori tbh. The guy's role is already covered by Lautaro and Correa. It's the Dzeko role, or replacement, which we need to secure.

Hard agree we should have invested in Vlahovic. If we were allegedly financially stabilized from the Hakimi sale, I have no idea why we couldn't reinvest more from the Lukaku sale. Would cost 30-40 more than what we will eventually spend on Correa and we shore up the attack for a decade with a world beating talent. If Suning got greedy again could probably sell him for much more than that in a few years anyway.

I can see it.

"Frattesi, Vlahovic to juve. Inter, idea Zapata. The nerazzurri have also approached Aubameyang with a 4 year contract of €6m per season. Sensi has also signed a new deal. Zhang, "we must sell first before we buy... (Belotti)."

Dealing with Sassuolo isn't as hard as with Fiorentina. You can get favorable terms and you can even include youngster(s) in the deal. The important thing is going to be the will of the player.

Seeing how just a month ago we were like 5 points behind first place, and now we are 4 points ahead.. good stuff. Also we have the same record as Real Madrid after 18 games. If that means anything to you.

But seeing how quickly things change also reminded me this shit could happen to us as well.

aye, all it takes is one bad run, but it is a good start.

If we're still sat pretty at the end of Feb, I'll start to get more optimistic - before the end of feb we play:

torino
Bologna
Lazio
Juve (supercoppa final)
Atalanta
Empoli (coppa Italia)
Venezia
Milan
Napoli
Liverpool
Sassuolo
Genoa

Lazio, Juve, Atalanta, Empoli, Venezia, Milan, Napoli, Liverpool is a bad run that could really impact our season or morale if it doesnt go our way. So we'll see after the Genoa game on the 27th of Feb.

milan fans are crying that marotta bought the ref today... hahhaha like they are going to reach us.
The most hilarious thing i read last night was a Napoli fan claiming the goal was a clear offside but it would have stood if it was an Inter game as Marotta controls the refs.

Yeah. Like i said in another thread, the first two months of 2022 will define our season. If we are still first come March then it's our Scudetto to lose. After this tough schedule we still have Juventus away and Fiorentina and Roma at home but all the other remaining matches are against teams outside top 7.

Not sure about that.Atletico apparently offered 50M + 20-30 M of bonuses for Vlahovic and it was not enough for Commisso.

I dunno Inter could sign Vlahovic with his heavy market value (50-100 M Euros) soon. Our owner still inexsistent somewhere.

Imo even i really doubt Suning still managing this club next year.

Watching the competition, I believe that 86 points should be enough for the scudetto. Milan and Napoli have 39 so far, and with a win in the last match will have 42 points at the half of the road. If they get 42 more in the second half, they will have total 84. I don't see them going above that, considering their squads and the way how they are playing. Even if we tie with Torino, we'll have 44 points, and we'll need 42 more in the second half. Which leaves enough room for mistakes.

Fiorentina have released an official note detailing their liquidity and investments that Commisso has made: https://www.acffiorentina.com/en/news/all/news-men-first-team/2021-12-21/acf-fiorentina-statement

This comes after Barone and Marotta had a bit of a tiff at the latest Lega meeting, and Marotta called for more transparency in club finances and for everyone to bring documents forward for scrutiny.

Essentially, Barone and Commisso keep calling us broke bitches (didn't pay salaries, etc.) and Marotta wasn't having any of it. Now, people are reading this one of two ways: it's either a shot at us, or it's the beginning of us and Viola are actually beginning to get along

I sincerely fucking doubt it, especially considering Commisso is a gobbo di merda, but one can hope.

Oh, also, we payed our all of our salaries for 2020/21. Juve deferred about 4/5 months' worth IIRC. But obviously, no one mentions that.

But but but it's only Inter...

As for the relationship with Fiorentina, for whatever it's worth, Biasin is promoting Vlahovic on his twitter account. I still believe he will end up at Juve on loan with option to buy.
