Wálter Samuel

Sebastiano Esposito (19) 1,87m

Eddie Salcedo (20) 1,78m

Martín Satriano (20) 1.87m

Giacomo Raspadori (21) 1.72m

Julián Álvarez (21) 1,70m

Samuele Mulattieri (21) 1.83m

Andrea Pinamonti (22) 1,85m

Gianluca Scamacca (23) 1.95m

Luka Jovic (24) 1,82m

Marcus Thuram (24) 1.92m

Giovanni Simeone (26) 1,81m

Yes there is a lot of competition for Sanchez's place, one thing for sure is that at the moment none of them are better than him, Jovic, Semeone and Thuram is unlikely to become so I would leave them out.
Obviously Salcedo can't score his off too, Mulattieri still has a chance if he scores 10 more goals in series b, I like his style of play and how he moves more than anyone else on the list. Pinamonti is absolutely wooden as long as he stands well on the market because of his age he should be sold, obviously he will continue his career at Sassuolo, of the players Frattesi, Raspadori and Scamacca I will choose Frattesi, Scamacca and Raspadori are very overrated they will also have to be dropped. Satriano and Esposito can't boast a lot of goals yet, but due to their age loan for another year and maybe in 2 years one of them will replace Dzeko. So of them all I would choose Alvarez at the moment, we can use our Argentinian guard to lure him to us.

None of our youth are ready to replace him now. They need to keep developing, and wasting a year as a rotation player at Inter is worse than playing full time at another club tbh

2.5 seasons ago vlahovic was 19. That's 4 years younger then what scamacca is now. He struggled in serie a as expected at that age but scored 11 in 13 in the Primavera.

Zapata is a late developer. Only became great at atalanta. At udinese and samp after napoli he was OK but nothing special.
Ok, but what is your point? Every person is unique as individual, the fact that Vlahovic or somebody else scored 11 goals in 13 games but Scammacca not, doesn't mean that the latter won't turn to quality player.

We are not in a financial position where we can gamble if scamacca will become quality. There are better options for his price.

He has yet to show any numbers that screams Inter nr 9.

Our youth strikers are still in the plusvalenza fodder category. None of Pinamonti, Esposito, Mulattieri, Salcedo, etc look like Inter material yet. Esposito gave us some hope, but hasn't really capitalised on that hype during his loan moves so far. Satriano needs a loan move to see what he is made of.

At the moment, I would have no problem if Ausilio uses any of them as deal sweeteners or plusvalenza fodder.

I don't say that we should gamble on him. I'm just saying that he could turn to a good player despite being a nobody 2 years ago.
I don't also think that Marotta will splash 40 mln of Scamacca, only because he is Italian. Marotta usually tries to find the best balance amongst the quality, the price and the salary.

I fully understand the hype around Scamacca. He is tall, strong and quick which is rare combination and can make him great striker. He has also very powerful shot and distributes the ball very nicely. He is worth a gamble in my opinion.

On the other side I don't understand hype about Raspadori. He is slow, weak physically and short. His shots lack power. He is quite good passer, but he looks like worse version of current Alexis, let alone Alexis from his best times. Alexis protects the ball better, can pass better and has better technique.
Scamacca can become a guy who can score a lot while Raspadori can be useful second striker, but he doesn't have abilities to be a poacher.

But still Vlahovic would be my number one.

So much noise from rumours, clearly smoking, I guess we will have a surprised name next year.

Yea, Raspadori can be a replacement for Sanchez, albeit a downgraded one. I like Raspadori, but he can't lead the line. He needs a specific system to thrive in. Usually such players thrive in smaller clubs, but not in bigger ones. Raspadori can work in a 2 striker formation, but we need him to be more controlling on the ball than he is today.

When it comes to hot prospects from South America I’m 10 years out of date. Get me Ganso and Luciano Vietto.
I remember those! Searched to see what they are doing NOW & DAAAAAMN it just shows how overhyped certain players can be, soley based on their technical ability.

You need superior MINDSET and MENTAL attributes to perform on top level. Hopefully club learned this after that Barbosa transfer.

Atlético Madrid payed 20M for Luciano Vietto in 2015 and managed to sell him for 11M to those Sporting fuckers in 2019. How he was dietched on to Al-Hilal Riyadh for €3.5M, while still being 28 years old!

#10 Ganso was sold for 9.5M to Sevilla back in 2016, but he eventually returned to Brazil on a free transfer. Great bullets to dodge!

PS: Alexandre Pato is still out of a club, only 32 years old :D

Ganso had injury problems, it's not like he was a scrub. But he was indeed too slow for top tier football, but a club could have shielded him like Villarreal did with Riquelme.

I remember that there was a time where people considered Ganso to be a better player than Neymar.

There's a video of Seedorf saying the exact same thing in the Brazilian football programme "Bem, Amigos!" back in 2013, here it is (in Portuguese):
