Hi, brother of the world. I see you need some attention again. Here is my attention. Do with it whatever you want, but stop quoting me. I've said it before, you don't ever engage in real conversation with me, it's always negative energy. If you want me to change my opinion about you, either change your approach or stop quoting me. Thank you.

Some thoughts on Vlahovic:

I feel this weird sense of "communal protection" over Vlahovic. He's one of this leagues brightest jewels, if not the single most precious, and it would be tragic for Serie A to lose him, but especially to a fucking loser club like Arsenal.

Even though I have zero right to claim any "ownership" of Vlahovic, the notion of him going to Arsenal is just fucking disgusting. It borderline offends me. In the past decade, I've become so accustomed to Arsenal being the absolute definition of a banter club, and being an Inter fan, I'm somewhat of an expert in banter clubs.

Their greatest achievements are the meme-able rants by their delinquent fans on Arsenal Fan TV. They should go spend €80m on some fuckwit from France or some overpriced English dickhead from Brighton instead. Vlahovic is too good for Arsenal.

Another reason is that Arsenal being such a sad cunt club will always make me resent us for not competing harder for his transfer. I mean to say that if Arsenal can get him, we can get him.

If he goes to a Man City, Real Madrid, or Bayern Munich then so be it - we can not compete with the financial might of these clubs, nor are we on the same level as them on the pitch either. At a stretch, even a club like fucking Tottenham, despite being the biggest bottlers in world football, have a proven winner like Conte at the helm at the very least. But Arsenal? Fucking come on. I can only hope he fucks off to a PSG or Man City so I can effectively forget about him.

Naturally, the idea of him going to juve, let alone actively seeking out a transfer to juve is just sickening as well. Especially this juve who are so unbelievably mediocre. But the best team in the league always attracts the best talent. We need to replace juve in this regard and cement ourselves as the dominant force in the league*.

If Vlahovic indeed wants to move to juve, would he change his mind if we convincingly won the league again? (it would help if juve failed to qualify for top 4 but I think Napoli will gift them easy passage) I like to think there's a chance, and lord knows I'm far from an optimist when it comes to these things.

All in all, club stature aside, the single most important factor is obviously our finances. Even though I'm extremely well aware of our calamitous financial situation, I can not accept that we made a total of nearly €200m from Lukaku, Hakimi and Politano's obligation being activated, and only spent a miniscule portion of that.

*And this remains my single biggest gripe with Suning to date. The opportunity is there for the taking - let's not fucking squander it by dismantling our squad.

juve are weakened, Napoli, Lazio and Roma are a fucking joke, and Atalanta is not the force it was either. Milan is recovering but let's be real - they are an encouraging project at best and their fucking repulsively delusional fans who think they're some kind of historic squad like Sacchi's Milan, need to be castrated and locked away. (Never forget, these are the same fucking animals who think Romagnoli and Kjaer are better than Skriniar, that Pioli is a world class coach comparable to the likes of Klopp and Guardiola, and that Theo Hernandez is on some Roberto Carlos level.)

Anyway. It might be expensive, but there is a golden opportunity for us to put a throttlehold on this league for the foreseeable future. Signing Vlahovic would ensure that dominance. As well-utilized as they have been, signing a 35 year old reject from Roma and a rotation player from Lazio, does not.

Every euro that fucking Suning penny pinches is giving the opposition wiggle room and jeopardising our chances to build a dynasty over the next several years.

Well said, Universe.

I understand we had financial issues, but all indicators were that Hakimi was the sacrifice. Lukaku went cos he wanted to, at least as per original reports. Now we have the chance to invest that 100m on Vlahovic 1-3 other players like Frattesi, Kostic, etc which essentially cements our position a prime contenders for many seasons. There is no reason not to do it.

Of course, maybe we have tried but Vlahovic has a hard on for Juve like every Fio player.

But beyond that, I am sure Vlahovic isn't thrilled by Arsenal, which is evident. But Fiorentina know they have to cash in and no one else is offering that money at this point.

For whatever it's worth UK media reported Vlahovic has rejected Arsenal as he favours a move to Juventus or Inter. Personally i have always believed the issue is Fiorentina, and especially Comisso, and not Vlahovic. Even yesterday Comisso talked about Inter once again by attacking Steven personally. Then again what do you expect from the guy who even shits on Fiorentina?

Every night I pray for a full on Juve banter era
Imo if they lose Dybala they're certainly entering their banter era. They simply don't have the money to make so many changes in one summer.

Too bad they already signed Piatek with option. I thought we could use Pinamonti in Vlaho downpayment. It could work if PumPum continues to shoot fake bullets until the end of season. Meanwhile enjoy this Pizza cooking alla Neapolitano..

From what I heard, the problem with Vlahovic is not Fio or his price tag (already high), it’s his agent, along with 15-20m Euro in commission, he wants 10% of Vlahovic’s next transfer as well. That makes every clubs putting him on hold, except Arsenal, the one he’s reluctant to go to.

Since both Vlahovic and Fiorentina ruled out a January transfer, I think it's really premature to talk about any of that.

If we beat Liverpool in the CL and make some noise there, whilst winning the league, players like Vlahovic would go out of their ways to join us. Results bring quality, not just the money, which is obviously a factor.
Juventus had financial muscle when they destabilized their two main rivals in 2016 by signing Higuain and Pjanic. But those two wouldn't really care that much for a move if Juventus wasn't CL finalists the year before and had the potential to go all the way. We need to get to that point, and frankly, it's not that hard these days. The alleged top talent pool in Europe is just abysmal nowadays and we're not far off.

I`m confident Vlahovic is NOT going to Arsenal. Not only now, but ever. On the other hand, I have a feeling he`s waiting for juBentus... That`s why Marotta is focusing on Scamacca.

On the long run: Vlahovic might see next italian club as a stepping stone, while Scamacca has lower chances to leave Serie A. Sure, we could use his services until then AND make a nice profit, so even like this I`ve been 100% for Vlahovic.

I know what you mean, but it`s not just the transfer balance.

TRANSFER RECORD 18/19 (Nainggolan, Martinez, Vrsaljko, de Vrij...)
Income €86.60m
Expenditure €97.60m
Overall balance €-11.00m

TRANSFER RECORD 19/20 (Lukaku, Eriksen, Lazaro, Politano, Barella loan, Radu, Salcedo, Brazão, Agoume, Young, Godín, Sánchez loan, Sensi loan...)
Income €66.69m
Expenditure €191.72m
Overall balance €-125.03m

TRANSFER RECORD 20/21 (Hakimi, Barella, Pinamonti, Sensi, Males, Kolarov, Sánchez, Vidal, Darmian loan...)
Income €82.55m
Expenditure €120.50m
Overall balance €-37.95m

TRANSFER RECORD 21/22 (Vanheusden, Dumfries, Correa loan, Darmian, Calhanoglu, Dzeko,
Income €197.05m
Expenditure €36.00m
Overall balance +€161.05m

So if you`re looking over the years, we`re more or less balanced out.

The problem for every club was losing revenue due to the pandemic - which is unfortunately still ongoing at certain level.

Anyway. It might be expensive, but there is a golden opportunity for us to put a throttlehold on this league for the foreseeable future. Signing Vlahovic would ensure that dominance. As well-utilized as they have been, signing a 35 year old reject from Roma and a rotation player from Lazio, does not.
I feel the same, he`s destined for world class and worth the effort. If we want to make a leap in quality, he`s the guy not Dybala.

while I don`t have any credit/loans myself, I would encourage the club to take a loan or another minority investor, just to assure the funds for Vlahovic.

It`s time to consolid8 our position and Marotta is an expert on this.

I've seen the rumours that dybala will get the money basically we save from vecino and vidals contracts ending. To me seems very un Beppe like.
Sensi is basically retired, so we'd only have 4 central midfielders and gags is basically good for nothing too, so we'd need one, if not two good reliable midfielders as well.
I'd rather get that than break our wage structure on dybala playing 15 games a season.
If we could break the bank for vlahovic, even if we needed to sell lautaro I'd be all for it. A decent midfielder or two, rotational CB, and a perisic replacement and we are set. Though, that's a lot...

I think we would rather release Sanchez who earns about 7-7.5 mln net per season and invest in Dybala who demands 8 mln net per season + 2 mln bonuses. We could still reinforce midfield by offloading Vidal and Vecino and they earn in total about 10 mln net annually and there is also Perisić who earns a lot and his replacement will be much cheaper imo.
But on the other side we are giving new contracts to many of our players and we will also try to lower our total salaries, so it's hard to say how much we can spend for contracts for new players.

Vlahovic move is blocked by Vlahovic and his agent. They want the move in summer so they can get the most money as Fiorentina is forced to sell. Fiorentina would sell to Arsenal yesterday if player okay'ed it.

Vlahovic and Haaland are the big names in the market next summer and those who do not get Haaland, might as well be after Vlahovic. Of course the clubs after these two are not the same, but some clubs like City would probably be happy with either one (or should be).

Frattesi is apparently already blocked for a first option in the summer.
I am also convinced Inter will bring back agoume after the good season he is having in france.

Haaland and Mbappe are different type of players and if I was after Haaland I wouldn't be after Mbappe for the same role. Vlahovic fits perfectly to Haaland role IMO. But yeah Real is after both (Haaland and Mbappe) and they both might end up there. :D
