Does dybala make sense though? He's falling apart with injuries already and lautaro has outscored him the last 3 seasons.

I'm against signing dybala. He can't be relied upon.

Honestly, if we could get Rom on a one year loan that would be ideal. Impossible though. Another sticky plaster until we see if scamacca develops enough to be worth it
Lautaro is more of a goal scorer though, traditional striker. Dybala more of a playmaker. So I wouldn't look at goals alone. Also playing alongside CR7 wasn't doing him any favors either.

We could use his playmaking ability and flair tbf, as we don't have anyone that capable of doing it other than way-past-his- prime Alexis.

You right though, injury history is a concern. On a bosman I still think it would be a good deal for us.

Ralistically speaking though, it's not gonna happen. I don't see him betarying Juve and there are plenty top clubs who would like him.

If City really got Alvarez, are they still going for Haaland? I doubt they are selling Sterling, Foden (who will play in De Bruyne position when he leaves) or Gabriel Jesus. 4 striker + Mahrez and Bernardo Silva is probably enough for them and Haaland seems the type that would have to play every game or he would throw a fit. Pep isn't that kind of coach

Sterling is linked with an exit since last summer. Also there are rumours in England City have offered a Lautaro-Gabriel Jesus swap deal but Inter are only interested in cash.

Sadly i don't see any Adriano around. People remember Cruz with nostalgia because we signed Adriano few months later which turned Cruz into a squad player (and he was a great one). But if Cruz had remained a starter people would have got very frustrated with his limitations and they would want him gone. I fear something similar for Scamacca if we see him as our main forward for years.
I think Scamacca is more than that, at least his potential is, but before he reaches his potential, yea Inter fans normally don't have that kind of patient, just think how long it took for people to start bashing Dumfries and how quick we turn our backs on Lautaro. I mean there are players that definitely don't belong like G5- the crossbar hitter, Donkey Ven, I mean they are useful for richening our tactical possibilities, but they are really just not Inter materials.

I feel like even Vlahovic won't survive here before he reaches his potential.

"Sadly i don't see any Adriano around." I agree a lot with this, a very different market nowadays. I think the "rich" clubs just splashes on potential too these days, way before they are proven, and it doesn't matter if they don't work out for them. Just think about how Chelsea bought Matic and Lukaku when they are young, failed to develop them, sold them and repurchased them; also Real Madrid used to buy proven players from Manchester United, but started to buy their targets, e.g. Benzema.

I don’t see Scamacca as coming to fix our squad, but rather to replace Dzeko. I think he’s an ideal candidate for that.

If we signed only Scamacca I would be disappointed. The question of whether Scamacca is worth the investment when our funds are scarce is a fair one.

As far as options are concerned— I like the ideas of Dybala and David, each offering different improvements. Only Marotta knows what’s realistic for us. I don’t see anyone in our attack as untouchable for next season.

Agree. Scamacca may be decent for Serie A, but if we ever want to make some progression in CL, we need to make some marquee signings.

I doubt we have the money though.. would like Dybala but I can't see him backstabbing Juve. He doesn't seem that type of guy. He's also doing well for them, I think he'll end up staying.

Ah, yes. Let's trade our striker who rarely scores for a pace merchant who never scores.

Not a big Sterling fan. His pace would certainly be welcome but I don't think he'd have a position here. Has he ever played centrally I only remember him on the wing.

We desperately need a forward who can effectively drift out wide. Correa kind can but it’s not enough.

We could also consider sign serge gnabry from bayern...would be solid replacement to lautaro / sanchez

His contract until 2023 and contract renewal with bayern doesn't rumoured to be close.

I like David a lot. I’ve never really watched much Lille but I’ve seen him with Canada. He is a better player right now than Scammaca IMO. However more importantly he would actually add something we are lacking which is a little bit of pace. He isn’t Mbappe, but he’s quick enough and also pretty strong. He can also dribble a bit, especially on the counter when there’s space to run into. Not to mention he’s actually got a legit goal scoring record at senior level unlike Scamacca. 30 in 60 for Gent, 25 in 60 for Lille. He is also a year younger.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t partner well with a Correa or Dybala type of player. He is a CF and should be leading the line, not playing deep off of another CF. I hope we stop doing that weird shit next year.

Correa was a waste of money.

We were better to have saved that 30mil for the summer window, be it Bremer, Frattesi, Scamacca or a sign-on bonus for Dybala. Alas hindsight is a beautiful thing.

Martinez is out of form, either he becomes the player we thought he can become or he gets moved on...it would be lucky if we can sell him for the price we had from Barca 2 seasons ago.

Sanchez to injury prone so he can piss off too. And Caicedo is not even worth mentioning...

After all that, dont know what our options are; and our attack will need to be supplemented because we're shit in the final third.

Dzeko and maybe Martinez

+

Belotti - Free
David
Scamacca
Dybala - if Martinez goes

Even writing down the options they all look shit...fukin Juve with Vlahovic, we need a Il Fenomeno signing. Moratti please come back?

Issue with Jonathan David is, who wants to buy Lautaro when they can buy David? We can't buy David without selling Lautaro. Or maybe Guardiola would get Lautaro? Lautaro could work in his system where he doesn't even need pure #9, but a functional player who understands the game (like Lautaro do). Though again, I doubt Lautaro wants to move anywhere.

Dybala just had his 5th injury of the season and we're still in February. He could only have Sanchez role at Inter but he wouldn't accept it and we can't afford spending so much on a squad player. I would stay away.

Jonathan David is having a goal drought himself, in Ligue 1. Let's not overrate every other strikers out there just because our guys are in shit form.

Just like how Dybala is still a sought after name, many teams will go for Lautaro over unproven options like David.

Like who do we buy? and for how much?
Osimhen, Isak, Anyone young with pace and can take players on one on one. That literally should be the priority. We have lost a lot of pace up front and we lack someone who can create his own shot. Someone like Leao.

By the way i said it before, glad we never got vlahovic cause he wouldnt have added shit. Maybe better finishing than the to scrubs we got

We can't afford either of those players.
