I mean he does add a different dimension to our play he's the only player we have who can dribble but he is dumb as fuck.
It s just very seldom of any use..
Dude has been impactful in 2 out of his 23 appearances, if there was a way to not buy him without pissing off lazio i d do it, he s just not worth the money imo.

I’ve never understood players that don’t play to their size. This guy has the physique of a CF, he’s not short. Nor is he slight of build. Yet he tip toes around like a ballerina and doesn’t throw his body into challenges. He even runs like he’s afraid if he opens it up he might hurt himself. I guess it’s hard to blame him for that given his fitness issues this year.

He is still better for our overall play than Dzeko but the top teams these days have forwards that press and tackle. Madrid, City, Liverpool, etc don’t have passengers. I don’t see how a career journeyman who’s not even an out and out striker and has never been a protagonist in a top team feels like he doesn’t need to put it all on the line. This dude does have talent it just seems like something may be a bit off mentality wise. He is soft.

I’d still say he is the preferred pairing with Lautaro to close out the season.

Correa has wrong mentality. He thinks that is special player because of his dribbling and fancy stuffs he does from time to time. This is his limit and if someone appear with 20+ mln offer, Marotta has to sell him in a heartbeat.

Agree. He will never be a difference maker for Inter. I also don't see him bein' capable as a supersub sadly. He just doesn't have the right mentality for that role. Sadly we should take our loss and move forward. Don't know if he has any suitors tho.

Yeah I think he can be only a super sub. Then again, we are not at that level that we could afford 30m€ super sub forwards who score around 4 goals a season (as we're not talking about a player who has assisted 10, or even 5 goals). His impact to our game is simply too limited, even if he's a good dribbler and can hold the ball pretty okay. Too much useless roaming, non-pressing off-the-ball and 100-0 giveaways.

It's not overly complicated. He's just a soft ass player. He lacks whatever it was that willed R Madrid in the dying minutes of last nights UCL semi. But a former player like Inzaghi who shared a dressing room with the likes of Simeone, Mihajlovic, Nesta, Couto, etc should be able to pick out certain personality traits and know which players would fit in at this level and those who wouldn't. Smh.

We need to employ some sort of psychological testing prior to signing so that we can better assess a players mental toughness, personality, etc. because this is becoming an untoward and intermittent pattern for us.

in anycase, i believe Korea will prove of use in the coming games, at the very least as a rotation option

I think we just have to accept that this deal was a big costly mistake, sell him and move forward. Bad deals like this happen all the time with all clubs, but the only problem is that Inter can't afford mistakes.

I agree. If someone is willing to pay like 25m, maybe 20m+5m bonus, I'd sell him immediately. Correa feels like Lazio-or-bit-above level of a player.

Let's see if he can bring something to the table in these final four matches of the season.

Change my mind Joaquin!

I agree. Him as a player in big clubs, kinda reminds me of Guti at Real, and J.Cruz here.
It is weird, like there is something missing, but it is also a pity not to play them.

I would actually place Hakan in that bucket before this season, but his intensity and work rate changed that, which makes me think that he is able to fight for a starting position even at other big clubs.

I still cannot decide his low defensive work rate (improved a bit today) is due to "he thinks he is special" or he is just timid.

With that said he actually enabled Lautaro today, which isn't exactly new.
Just putting things in contrast:

Lautaro's first goal, he dragged the 2 defenders back and hence the space:

even for his second goal, Lautaro gets space with him:

Another one just to show he creates attacking space, dragging 2 defenders out of position:

And finally look at what Dzeko (circled one) would make it look like, and normally Lautaro would be where Correa is:

Exactly. People put too much attention on the goal+assist thing for some reason. No idea where this fantasy football video game fusion mentality took over, it wasn't like this 10 years ago.

He still has a lot of room for improvement and he's probably not gonna get there ever, but he's a useful player.
