No, they play different positions. Di Maria actually fits better to this Juve than Dybala. Di Maria slots to the right winger position in 4-3-3. He can play with Vlahovic and Chiesa while Dybala honestly can't.

I know, but my point is on the type of transfer. If they are letting Dybala walk away for free, use that freed up space on the wage bill to sign a better winger or at least a more long term solution for a winger than Di Maria. Signing Di Maria is exactly they kind of short term-ism that has led them to this state. And that is even if Di Maria works out - the way he has declined over the last season, it could be even worse.

Looking at their squad, they actually need 3-4 experienced players, who are 'winners' , especially in the midfield and in attack. They still have plenty of young core, and remember, Chiesa is coming from ACL, he might be going full speed and recovered only in around World Cup time. Di Maria was always a stopgap, 7M€ is expensive , but he can still assist and score too. Allegri is going 433 so he'll need double players on wide forward positions hence the DM , Perisic chase. Also Raspadori will be probably signed ( not Gabriel Jesus like twitter is saying, Raspa is 1/2 of Jesus price and Sassuolo bends over for any postponed instalment while City wants all infront) Vlahovic was STARVING for good chances, its obv down to weaker support and Allegri, but if they can sign Perisic, DM, Raspadori , then when you add ready Chiesa this will be a very capable support for Vlahovic ( and actually a blueprint of how to do things, giving support for young upcoming stars so the pressure is shared with experienced, calm winners)

Add WC b2b bomber Pogba AND Jorginho.. if they add italian mid there it will be like a glue to complete the squad.

Bottom line If you replace Bernardeschi with Perisic and Rabiot with Pogba there will be improvements .

Look how Torino bend over to Roma,I can see same thing with Sassuolo. They're on vacation already.

Pogba will still be good at juve. United are a dumpster fire and he's been stuck there in a rut. Serie A is also awful. I dont think he'll be as good as he was the first time around but he'll still be one of the best midfielders in the league.

Jorginho I've always felt is incredibly overrated buy his style fits serie a really well.

Di Maria is older but he'll still provide another G/A maker off the wing and Chiesa will be back at some point.

Allegri is a dinosaur in the modern game but I'd still say they're going to be the betting favorite next year. Although I suppose that depends on what Milan does.

If we sign Dybala, Bremer, and keep our core I think we can and will compete. However that is a longshot. Someone important is going and I'm beginning to think it's Bastoni.

Tammy was a 40M€ gamble, but it was obvious he'll succeed because Lukaku ripped the Serie A to pieces and he has a similar speed and build. In one year he's got +25M€ on his head and in 2023 it will 100% be 80-100M€ range ( if he scores 30+ goals again in 22/23) He's currently 26 or smth this season ( 8 in low Conference, but still Europe)

It takes courage and trust to pay 40M€ for Chelseas bench, but check out Tomori . Scouting and data analysis is everything in 2022.

So Juventus didn't extend with Dybala because he was an injury prone but they offer an even higher salary to Pogba who has missed more games than Dybala in the last 3 seasons and his last good season was when he was still playing for Juventus. Go figure.

Yeah, Pogba's injury record is horrible. Who knows how its gonna go in Turin for him, same question about Dybala here. I have trust in our match prep and fitness team, we seem to have the best in calcio 100% if you look overall injuries. Fully fit, motivated Dybala under Inzaghiball attacking free role duties. Could be double numbers , next season, goals and assists.

I had a hinch. You know why? Gazzetta has been recycling the " Inter targeting Kostic " etc.

Rube, since they are lowlife copycats, signing rival's targeted players simply because Daddy oneeyebrow Agnelli can, they usually steal these players, we've seen it since year 2000. Gazzetta and these Rube propaganda shitpapers , they are jealous of us getting Dybala and Bremer .

They tried with Perisic to keep us busy with paying more to Ivan than we wanted, in the meantime signing a player who could have a good link up straight up since both are Serbian starters.

You would think this is a crazy imagination, but I've been around since Moggi days and they are fkn thieves.

Why the fuck we got Dzeko instead Tammy..

Its not a surprise for most people. I wanted Tammy last summer, it was obvious that we should have got him instead of Correa. Both in terms of type of player, and quality. Some here didn't agree with me at that time, but anyone who watches PL knew.

Lazio unlucky to be down imo. Fair play to Verona though.

Edit: game on!
