I didn't watch the interview with Steven Zhang, but judging by the comments, it's exactly what I expected it to be.

I read that he went to China afterwards. This is so predictable you gotta laugh  Now, I guess, he won't come back until he has to share some (if any) success with the team.

It would've been so easier if we were able to discuss politics, since then, we could maybe explain why the Zhangs are acting the way they're acting.

The way they are operating is very weird and is not fit for a big European club like Inter.

They can't invest and that's why they're holding the club hostage. They're waiting the longhaul for when the clubs finances are in a better position so they can sell for a higher amount and relax back in China. Suning, the company, is fucked. Zhangs need the money they will get from Inter, and they're waiting until they can get more in a few years when the debt is paid off.
imo i dont think a few years calculate enough to save Suning company business from troublesome deficit (making many losses). Suning reports tell that they are closer to bankrupt next year.

I can tell you the debt will not be paid off. Or, what debt are you talking about? Inter has 400m debt and the club definitely cannot pay that back, it will be refinanced with a new debt, just like it happened preciously.

^ This is all a long waiting game for Suning. They'll milk inter as dry as they can for a few years and cash out all in hopes to save Suning itself. It's pretty hilarious how an online retailer completely tanked during covid. Idek how these idiots managed to do that.
for the 100000time this is not happening and has never happened suning is not taking money out of inter and never have.
They just stopped investing additional funds into us. they are not taking money out which also would be very hard without braking the law when the club is making huge losses.

If they want to save suning with inter money the best solution for them would be to just sell the club.

fresh money around $US 1- 2 billions from Inter sale should be enough to save Suning business temporary.

Obviously they still need to turn their core business around....
My point is the easiest and fastest way for them to get 600-800 mios would be to sell inter...
Also when it comes to suning as of now i think alibaba has the bigger stake in suning than the zhangs.... and lets not kid ourselfes wether or not suning goes bust depends to a large degree on the ccp if they want it to fail it will if they don want it to fail it wont.

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso believes that Suning’s ownership of Inter is no longer viable and that another company will take control soon
Speaking live from the US, reported by FCInter1908, Commisso gave the view that the current Nerazzurri owners will have to give up control within six months due to not being able to operate the club any more.

Suning have been linked with a sale of Inter regularly over the past several months, though the indications from the Chinese company have always been that they intend to stay on and feel that their project is sustainable and has a future.

Commisso does not share this view, however, with the Viola owner frank in his assessment that Suning cannot support Inter.

His words come as the Nerazzurri head into another transfer window with the current owners at the helm, and a period which could prove to be a significant test of their control of the club.

“Suning has lost control of their club,” Commisso said, “the Zhang family have lost control. They’ve accumulated a lot of debt and there’s another company that will decide whether to take control of the club within six months,” likely referring to Oaktree Capital who the club are in debt to.

and then this

Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has given confirmation that Inter have received an offer from an unnamed fund to buy Inter, but that current owners Suning rejected it
Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it, via FCInter1908, Biasin explained that the current owners are still committed to the project and have rejected yet another offer to purchase the club.

According to Biasin, another fund has recently come forward, although he did not name the interested party, and he also reiterated that for now the current owners Suning remain fully committed to staying on as owners rather than selling.

He explained that “It’s true that a fund has arrived, I can confirm.”

Asked about whether he knows who the fund in question is, Biasin responded “Yes, but without being certain, I won’t say. However, this fund has come in and made a significant offer.”
“At the moment, however, the idea of the current ownership is to keep going and continue at Inter,” he added.

thoughts?

Suning will probably be ordered to sell inter within the next few months by their government.
Hope we don't get completely gutted before that happens.

Look, we just need to keep Bastoni, Skriniar, Brozo until those guys sell. Maybe Martinez as well and then we are Gucci

But we won't keep them as long as these guys are around. We'll probably sell 1-2 of those this summer and it will be the same story every summer till the club has balanced budgets and can be self sustainable. And that's why Suning need to go NOW. If they sell in 2-3 years it will be too late and there will be no core left to build on. New ownership would have to build almost from scratch.

what up JJM

Overall they helped us, can't deny that, the problem is that they don't want to sell now that they have big financial problems. For us it would be better for them to sell, for them it's probably not because they aren't getting the offers they want.
