Liverpool are now closing on Darwin Núñez deal, here we go! Meeting in the morning with verbal agreement in place between Liverpool & Benfica, just waiting to sign. €80m plus €20m add ons fee.
Liverpool are preparing paperworks. Five year contract, already agreed.

Scam ??? He’s decent but not with that price tag. Feel the money is mainly for agent. Funny enough I think Lautaro suites their style.

I really like Darwin Nunez, he isn't the Firmino type but as this season showed, they could play Mane as a false 9 and it works. If Mane really leaves, Diaz - Nunez - Salah is still a great trident.

This will look much better in the forum as it doesn't take so much vertical space.

But if it's too much work, maybe do like @brehme1989 suggested and limit max two tweets per post?

Anyway, maybe this thread can be a place where lots of tweets can live. But I want Inter related threads to remain discussion-based, not tweet fests. Vertical space is visually important in a forum-like website.

You're still like the only person against the embedded tweets. Not a big deal.
I don’t like it either, embeded tweets are performance hoarder and it gives tracking to twitter. Moreover, the information/data belong to tweet posters and twitter. If either decides to delete the tweet, threads look funny and posts are read like out of context.

Case in point: many sites and newspapers are still recovering Trump’s incident. They’re saving tweet data as back up now

Let's make some things clear.

Whether people like it or not twitter has become a part of transfer market. It's where reporting happens. If we want to share news we can't ban twitter from the forum. Also not everyone has twitter or has the time to check news there. Many simply come to FIF to check news because it's faster and easier. Personally when i have a hectic day at work i prefer visiting IM21 profile than going to my twitter account and check my notifications.

Those who share news do it out of good will in a dead period for the forum where there isn't much discussion. Those posts keep discussion alive during the summer. So in my eyes it's a bit selfish to ask them to put even more effort into this because a page takes few more seconds to load.

There are alternatives to keep everyone happy. We can limit max number of tweets per post to two. We could even copy the model of redcafe where they have separate threads that include only tweets while discussion happens in other threads (though even there a tweet occasionally makes an appearance).

But i won't agree to an unofficial ban of twitter on the forum whether it's for Inter or not Inter related news.

A 6 year deal? I thought 5 was the max. Hm. Learned something today, I guess.

tbh its not hard to game it a bit. 5 year contract, liverpool has a right to send an email saying 'extend' and it automatically extends +1 year, for example.

After City got Haaland, Pool had to respond.

Chelsea, ManU, Spurs can only dream winning a title in the next 5 years, for sure not happening. Its a Klopp or Pep title.

As a neutral observer, United look fucked. City and Liverpool are now top 2 locks for the foreseeable future and then you have Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal fighting over the scraps. Looking at the squad United has, it’s gonna almost take a full revamp to get back in the top 4 much less fighting for the league.
