It's a non obligation deal as far as we know right now, we just send him back.We don't know this, though. He's an aging player who is mentally weak and coming off the worst season of his career. What happens if his first month at the club goes poorly? Will he crumble? We also are no longer playing a system designed to make him the star of the show. There's a pretty real risk that this loan is a complete flop.
In fact, if I was a betting man, I would bet we will have a completely opposite problem next year. He returns, does really well again and chelsea based on those performances sells him to another club coz we can't match their asking price. But that's the debate for another time, I'm just excited he is coming back, i m convinced if we had him last year we would have won scuddetto without a sweat...
As for the concerns regarding his form and confidence, I get that, and it's the legit concern, but people were talking about that even before he first came here when he was at man utd, and then he arrived and matched ronaldo numbers. As far as risk taking goes, it's the smart risk to take given that only a year ago he was a mvp of the league.
