Yes, like mentioned in this thread (I think), 10m€ annual fee is an equivalent of us paying 40m€ transfer fee for him with a 4-year-contract.

His overall cost including his gross wage will be maybe around 20m€, give or take depending how much we end up paying to Chelsea.

Dzeko's contract ends after the coming season (if he even stays here).

Lukaku's one year would give us this one season time to look for the replacement or we may do Morata-Juve and loan him again for another season. Would give us yet another season to look for a partner to Lautaro.

If it was one or the other, I think I'd pick Lukaku. Way less risk long term. Well short term too as Lukaku probably guarantees 20 league goals. Dybala might be great, might be injured or not fit half the season.

But I feel we gonna sign both.

Lukaku is not less risky with the reported fee. Dybala costs around 12-13m p.a while Lukaku costs 25. One year of Lukaku is two year of Dybala, and two year of Lukaku is the entire contract of Dybala. I actually feel Lukaku is more risky even.

The point is with Lukaku we are committed to one year. With Dybala we are committed to 4 years straight away (given the contract is 4 years).

Hope we get them both. Losing Dybala as free player would be a big failure.

He is less risky in terms of scored goals, injury history and the proven Lukaku-Lautaro duo. If you are looking only about the costs, it's better to get Destro and Caputo.

obviously if we had Lukaku instead of Džeko this season, we'd win the league again

some really brilliant goals

but what I also saw was Eriksen being important to how Lautaro and Lukaku got chances. I'm just not sure Calhanoglu will bring the same type of production up front while counterattacking (altho he is not bad at it, just less direct)

I am so conflicted. Mentally we already have a bunch of losers and if Lukaku comes but doesn't start, that will be just new problems for us

Lukaku for 10million loan is fine I think. I would not make the mistake of buying him though, as he is really not stable when he wants something else and that has been happening every now and then. I believe that he still has a minimum of 2 good years ahead of him. If we are to seal this deal and at the same time be able to offload Dzeko without loss, then it should be a good mercato in the CF department.

I dont mind getting him, everything is better than Dzeko, but if we lose Dybala cause that we missed the boat big time.

We are bringing back guy who flopped in every big club in PL, who will be one fkn year here and for that we will exclude player like Dybala who can be starter and game changer in every fkn big club in the world. Idiots, bunch of fkn clowns if this is true.
