Paulo Dybala

Imagine you`re in Ausilio/Marotta`s shoes, would you offer Dybala a contract?

  • Yes - unlock defences and add value: creativity, individual brilliance, attacking outside the box

  • No - serious doubts about his fitness and contribution when it matters the most

I think Dybala has picked Inter already.

Now it's up to the agent, how much he can squeeze from Inter and how much we can resist him. Would be interesting to see is he gonna threaten to collapse the deal because he's not getting enough.

I think it's about the agent fees, or us having to close the Lukaku operation first.

There is also a small chance that we are having second thoughts about signing him, hope that's not the case.

Yeah specially if the costs are high. No free agent is free agent in it's true sense anymore. Agent cuts might be relatively high (for being "free"). The term of Dybala's deal is the one I'm most worried about. Will he be worth the gross salary in his final season? Will he stay fit?

Don't have one.

Yeah agent fees might be a problem, but I think the biggest problem is we will have with lukaku imminent arrival five strikers, and if by some miracle we sign dybala immediately after that it will be six strikers, which is ridiculous. Someone has to leave and that's the biggest problem why dybala thing is stalling imo.

We currently have Lautaro, Correa, Dzeko and Alexis on our books. Lukaku is apparently coming and i assume Dybala will be the next. We have to part ways with Alexis first i think. When that is done, Dybala will come. Hope he doesn't sign for another club in the meantime.

I'm pretty sure we're still after Dybala but Lukaku is higher priority. We need to dump some forwards before signing Dybala.

Yeah I think this is the case. But I hope we've been fair to Dybala about this otherwise we're a f*ckin unreliable club if we can't sell attackers and the whole deal doesn't go through.

Still early in the summer. I remember getting Sneijder quite late in 2009. Nothing out of ordinary for a club that lacks money

But Sneijder had a contract with Real. In 9 days Dyabal doesn't have a club to train or work for. I get what you mean but I think it is a different situation now because of Dybala his contract.

But just thinking where Dybala would go? Obviously, he wants to compete for championship and play in CL. In Italy i see only Inter and Milan, I don't see England at all. And Spain is not reassuring as well. He may still come to Inter, knowing that Lukaku's deal is for 1 year and he still will have 3 more productive years to give to Inter.

And his is not a hospital bed. Yeah, missed a lot of games in 2021, but overall, it's not too bad for the past 4-5 years. I have seen worse. Say Reus or Hazard.

The longer this goes on, the more I'm okay with not signing him. I'm having trouble rationalizing making Dybala our largest earner when he might not even start half of our league matches.
I predict that he will play often, first coming on as a substitute from the 60th minute instead of Lautaro, and since Lautaro is a fucking critic who knows how to fuck up his chances, Dybala will push him out of the starting lineup.

I have my doubts over both but if the one signing excludes the other, our choice should be Dybala. He will sign a 4 year contract and be committed to the club.

While Lukaku will come for only a year and then next year we'll be with only Lautaro as a worthy option upfront and we'll need to sign new striker.

When Lukaku comes he will score 30+ goals in a season, while Lautaro and Dybala score 10, it is obvious that Lautaro will be sold next summer in favor of buying out Lukaku who will go in the history of the club
Lukaku will only need to score 23 to be in the top 10 in club history. It's quite possible that if he signs for two more years, he'll score 80 in three seasons and crack the top five.

How do you know he will score 30+?:)
