If he is sold for 65 or 70… won’t he still be a top 10 $$$$ for a defender ever?

I know we all love the guy but we are getting top money for our players. Feel people think 70 million is pocket money

1 year left on his contract and 5 years older…..

Not from the country he will be playing in…….

Italians pay premium for Italian players, so do English, Spanish and German teams.

Maguire is shit but Manuer wanted to have at least some English players :)

Obviously Stramaccioni is LGI material, once upon time he did beat Juve with Inter.

Iirc he won CL with InterKids, so Herrera, Mou and then Stramala

And Muntari, he won us a CL. And Osvaldo, because he attacked Icardi.
Two things: Skriniar hasn't left yet, and more importantly, we haven't had a chance to vote for 🐸 as LGI iirc. Waiting on @crzdcolombian to weigh in on that one;)

Every morning that I wake up and don't see Skriniar holding the PSG jersey next to some Sheikh gives me a tiny bit of hope that the sale won't happen.

Then I realise that our own CEO is aggressively trying to sell him and that hope is extinguished!

Seriously though - fucking June has passed. That means that any Skriniar sale can not possibly be linked to a financial requirement in the past fiscal year. As Cafe has said many times, a Skriniar sale prior to July 1 would indicate that we needed money before the financial year ended (which would also likely indicate some kind of clause with Oaktree). The fact that Skriniar has not been sold yet diminishes that possibility i.e. we're not forced into selling Skriniar for 60m because we need to make 60m by June 30.

Therefore, there's no reason we can't use the remaining time to raise funds from other players instead of Skriniar (hypothetically).

Obviously it's easier to replace one player than it is to sell and replace multiple players, but it's not about fucking ease, is it? Those who take the path of least resistance usually end up being losers, as we saw last season. Gotta keep your best players and build around them - not steadily degrade your core for mediocre trash - even if it means sacrificing non-essential players.

Ball's in Marotta's court now. We still need to make plusvalenza, certainly, but we have time and we have options. Let's see how he plays this.

Yeah, we should really wait at least a bit to see if Dumfries and De Vrij gets any real offers. So far this doesn't seem to be the case.

I also understand we cannot wait till the end of August for the sale because the prices will go down. And this 60m€ is probably just some number given to our management for this mercato window and the club wants certain number to this new fiscal year (ie. ends year from now).

But would want we do everything possible to avoid doing this sale. It doesn't look good because we can't get even 20m€ for Pinamonti. That might be possible later in the window if the club abroad comes in more actively but let's see. Atalanta won't pay that 20m€ quaranteed.

I'm just messing around, crzd seems the type to take this seriously. Especially if it's about Ranocchia

So, no Skriniar in PSG jersey yet. Which could mean he is staying OR we are trying to get more money for him.

My friend highlighted that selling him now or selling him at the end of the season before 30/06/2023 will have the same impact on our financial books. Therefore we should just keep him and sell him at the end of the season.

I m starting to be more confident that we might keep him... Like you pointed out if we had to sell him and if Marotta wanted him gone he d be gone by now we would have taken those 60 mio....
Not saying we wont end up selling him but it appears that we re trying to find another way around.
I m still curious what happened to the devrij sale cause everything was pointing towards us selling him this summer now theres not even rumors surrounding him...

Anyways lets hope MArotta finds a way so we can keep skriniar...

He will be out of contract then.

So was I. Its not like the LGI decisions put to a vote here, in anyway reflect or decide what the Inter organization and the football historians will ultimately etch in stone.

70mil is a lot yeah, but we are going to use that money in 2 defenders who are worst than skriniar.

like we bought lukaku for 80, sold him for 110 and with the 30m difference we bought Correa from Lazio. What a joke of management.

Obviously we'll extend him if we don't sell him now
Question here is why have we not done this earlier i mean a player with 4 years remaining would also have gotten us more money then one with 1 year left.
On top of that letting Skriniar talk to PSG (which was reported) will only increase his eventual salary demands.
