I do not think that it is right to blame Marotta all the time. Suning should be the one who should be blamed. What can Marotta do if his hands are tied all the time. We have Suning, who is always there restricting our finances and appearing only when we are lifting trophies or showing themselves in big matches. Let us still hope that we will have a very good team by the end of Mercato.

He should get least one of two(Dybala,Bremer) and he would atleast calm the fans down. He let Dybala and told him he can find new club while he still didnt finish job with Bremer. That is amateurish stuff. If he lose Bremer, which is now about 90 percent, he fucked up big time.

How is this Marotta's fault? He had agreements with both players and our Suning Overlords decided not to pay.

If it wasn't for Suning not dishing out money we'd still have Conte, Lukaku and Hakimi and we'd be competing in Europe. There was a whole project before COVID we were set to sign Tonali and Hakimi in the same summer 2 years ago and then China decided to stop investment abroad.

Every sane person realize that our owners are the biggest problem, but Marotta could and should handled this better, he fucked up his reputation.

Well many people in this forum that were pro Marotta(including myself) and on social media proves you're wrong. Getting Bremer or if he pull some miracles till the end of mercato can still save his ass, otherwise..

This way of argumenting is really not constructive. You blame someone for something, better back it up, rather than just throw some accusations and start pointing "look at your own posts". I haven't read from @_OC_'s posts anything what you accused him of.

This polarization of discussion over certain topics is generally plain retarded. People go apeshit over one thing and when other people "defend" this thing, it's just war out there (here) then. Useless and doesn't help anyone.

Go vent your anger people to some other thread like Flamer's paradise or something.

I am not blaming anyone for anything, i made a comment about his posts and what he said implied what i said, i dont have to explain in great detail or quote everything, his post was defending the director thats how i saw it end off, he is free to disagree same as you just said here.

And i wasnt venting anything my post was a response to his post.

So, get Bremer and sell Skrinar would save his ass? I don't think soo. Or you belive that Inter have a money for both?

he shouldve pushed lazaro/balbert out by 1st of july
and finalized sanchez/dezeko(and remark that contracts should be more flexible, bonuses should be based on performance).
these steps should've helped in bremer/dybala

even free agents are becoming a hassle for our team, what a misery/

With the current offer, the deal would have been done before the past season ended. He miscalculated the market, thought he has the whole window to haggle, pact with the player remains strong. That was not the case, at all.

I don't get those people who blame Marotta about Bremer, he made a deal. But he simply didn't had money. Is his fault because Juve can offer more to Torino and to Bremer? Should he take his personal money to pay them?
His probably plan was to take 70+M€ for Škriniar and take Bremer for half of that, bud surprise surprise. We are poor, everybody knows that, everybody knows we have owner who won't single penny to the club, we have owner that wants sustainable club. Spend how much you earn. Since everybody know we have to sell, they try to drag negotiations until we say, anything is better then nothing.
On the other hand, we have Juve who have more then enough money for Serie A, and will always be a favorite to sign Seria A players, since nobody can't pay better then them.
Marotta is last to blame because we don't have any money to spend on any serious transfer. If we had any decent owner's, they would reach in their pockets and would say to Marotta, bring that Bremer over here, it's important transfer for long term of club, and Bremer would be an Inter player. But since our owners just don't want to lose money, we will have transfers like Dumfries, and hope they will make name for them self at Inter, and resell them.

Let's not forget that Marotta can't do shit without the approval and the money from Suning. What he has done, which IMO is still big, was to persuade both Dybala and Bremer to come to Inter.

Dybala would have already been training with Lautaro and Correa but the Lukaku transfer blocked it We all know that Sanchez + one of Correa/Dzeko should leave to make space for Dybala. That shit was/is hard to happen. Whether going for Lukaku was the better option, we will see at the end of the following season.

As per Bremer - Marotta needs cash from Suning and as things stand now, our owners are not willing to spend. All we have been doing so far are free transfers and loans with option/obligation.

Selling Skriniar and getting Bremer and Dybala for free would do competent guy. If he sells Skriniar and bring some trash in the end he failed doing his job. To make team that is competent. That was his job. No excuses.

If Marotta isn't responsible for this fuckup I expect him to resign after we lose Bremer. Nobody wants to work in this environment. But deep down in our hearts we know this is how he works. He tries to f*ckin low-ball every club until it's to late.

He could step up to Zhang or start some fire in the media, but none of this. He accepts the situation of Inter a little to easy imo.

Beppe had 7 months to get sunings approval and get a deal done with torino. He is culpable along with suning.
Exactly.

I am blaming mostly Zhangs are everyone should but Marotta is not free from the blame. This is his way with the big transfers. Barella, Lukaku, Eriksen, now Bremer. Hakimi was the only one we did in almost total secrecy but that was Ausilio handling it, at least initially. Marotta has this habit of wanting to always haggle and not just pay what is asked. That's okay if you succeed, but turns counterproductive if you end up paying what was the demand from the start, only 2 months later.

With Bremer it looks like we end up paying MORE than what we could have got him initially because an auction was put in place. Marotta simply got a bad read from the situation. Bremer resisted other offers for a long time but limit was reached finally. Marotta got the funds because our current offer is larger than from the start.

If this way of working with the ownership is fine for him, I don't know what to say. Can't let him go off the hook here.

Both are at fault here. Absolutely. And let me get this out before the summer ends, or Bremer's future is decided (though it is 99% going to be at Juve now).

In favour of Marotta -
Well the man is helpless. He could have closed the deal earlier, but maybe the mandate was to generate money by sales first. And that's the reason, he has been hellbent on selling Skriniar. If reports are to be believed, they tried to sell Skriniar in Jan itself. And it is around the time when we started talking to Bremer. So Marotta knew that we have to sell someone (Skriniar), and he identified an able replacement in Bremer (who still had half a season to play and win the defender of the year award). So you have to give props to his eye for the talent. But what can he do when the constraints imposed by owners are so stringent.

Against Marotta -
While he did the groundwork well, he slipped up majorly here. It has been clear for weeks that PSG isn't raising their offer. And it was also becoming clear that Juve will come in for Bremer sooner or later. A pact with a player means nothing today. He had to be nimble enough and decide if we still want Bremer, and in that case try closing sooner before Juve gets the money for it.
The biggest fuckup here is destabilizing the team, and Skriniar who is a favourite of all supporters, and possibly in the dressing room too. Even with all the odds against him, Marotta did fuck up big time.

In all this, I am only considering the Bremer saga. The Dybala saga isn't going to matter much.

That awkward moment when you hire Marotta and still run the club like Moratti.
