There are plenty of reports for a new contract. 5M€ net. He deserves it tbh. If he's still here next season we would be contenders for title!!

Rube did copy Beppe's strategy. Sell your best defender for huge money , replace him with cheaper, but with the same quality and have 30M€ extra for mercato. Deligt/Skriniar for Bremer is that strategy.

Wondering how long that will drag. Exactly the same stuff was talked about last summer when we needed to extend Lautaro and Brozovic.

Zhang will have everything ready and then holds it for 6 months?

It’s weird that Skriniar hasn’t attracted more attention. De Ligt for €80 million and now Bremer for 50.

I wonder if it has to do with the fact he only has a year left on his contract?

I read this morning that they will offer him the extension in Autumn rather than now.

Honestly, I don’t blame Beppe for missing out on Dybala and Bremer. The real problem is with our owners and it is evident that they are effectively hamstringing Beppe from executing and doing his job.

With each passing season, the Zhang’s tenure at the club becomes more tenuous as their financial difficulties and debts continue to mount. It is only a matter of time and very much a question of when it is going to happen as opposed to how.

The sad thing for us is that there are not going to be any blockbuster transfers to get excited about and the team will be weakened with each sale. And we are simply going to have to wait it out and come to terms with the fact that we may be competitive but will not be contenders for silverware.

Right now, the question I keep asking myself is whether or not this squad is ready for the start of the new season? And the response is always no.

It very much feels that we have added to the squad around the edges but we are still lacking solid reinforcements in all three departments: defence, midfield and attack.

Defence is a huge issue at the moment. If Skriniar is sold they will not be able to find an adequate replacement that can play at his level.

De Vrij has huge question marks next to his name as his performances last season were tepid. Is that how we are going to go into the new season?

As positive as he has been, is Asllani going to be enough in midfield? Are we already expecting Miki to be a fuck out? If so, we are again spreading ourselves to thin.

Up front, we gained Lukaku but what other options are there off the bench? Correa and Sanchez have significant issues with injuries and Dzeko is ready for retirement. Are we really going to rely on only Lautaro and Lukaku?

When I think about it, the overwhelming feeling I get right now is inadequate reinforcement and unfinished business. But that will only change with a major sale and accepting that regardless of which big name player is sold, his reinforcement will be nowhere near the standard of his predecessor.

It very much feels like we are on a roundabout from which we can not step off.

We absolutely need Centre back cover. Injury to any one of our CBs and we're fucked.

Maybe we should just play 4312 and thus CB deficient Inter is less of a problem

Probably has more to do with the fact he doesn't want to leave Inter.

Then you need a new manager. Limone is not playing anything but a back 3.

Imho that de ligt deal made that 60 mio offer for skriniar make more sense...
I mean transfermarket has it as a 67mio transfer while gazzeta said something like 70+10
Now yes Skriniar is the better player but all the other factors that influence transfer sum are in favour of de ligt
Dudes younger than skriniar and the dude still had a longer remaining contract. Plus he s also bigger name outside of Italy imho.....
Also lets not forget that De ligt joined jube on a 80mio transfer....

Imho deligt should be the more expensive player cause of the reasons mentioned so if deligt goes for 70+10 I kind of get why Skriniar has not brought in any bigger sums....

I think it is because he plays for Inter and the world knows we are flat broke which means any low ball offer will be considered.
That was known when we sold both Lukaku and Hakimi and we did not get low balled there...
