If we can get 20 for him.. we can definitely squeeze 50M out of dumfries from them.

Still rather sell to an Italian team for way less with a buyout clause

Casadei was recently talked up by Italian national team coach Maurizio Viscidi as one to keep an eye on.

The 62-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport he was particularly impressed by the 6ft1in star's attacking qualities in the box - which he rates better than current Italy international Nicola Barella and Davide Frattesi.

Viscidi has seen Casadei in action with Italy's U15s through to U19s, and witnessed his development.

He said: “He has been with us since he was fifteen. We’ve watched him grow. He’s a modern midfielder, because out of all the youth team midfielders he’s been the one with the greatest aptitude for attacking runs and goalscoring.

“He attacks the area penalty area better than anyone else we’ve seen, better than Frattesi or Barella. And he’s also strong in the air, something that’s unusual among younger players.”

He added: “Given his ability to enter and give a presence in the area he’s the strongest player currently within the Azzurri’s youth sector."

Regardless of the price, if we sell him now, we will undoubtedly regret it and it will just confirm that we have no interest in having young, promising Italian players on our books.

20 million is crazy talk for a kid with no senior team minutes. With Inters financial situation you have to take that. Potentially 40 mil from Pinamonti and Casadei would be a god sent.

The problem is those funds won't actually do anything for the club. They won't be reinvested. They won't prevent the sale of a big name next summer. They'll just allow the Zhang's to cling on to power for another short duration of time.

Yeah you’re probably right but what’s the alternative? We sell a star this summer and that allows Zhang to stick around another year?

We'll look like total clowns again when he turns into a world class player and his value shoots up to 100+ million.

25m is about the fair price for Zaniolo these days after all the hype has settled. If this happens, good on him and Chelsea, but I can't see how we will look like clowns for selling him for 25m, especially when Asllani is 14m.

So he's basically young Vecino ?

Cairo must be regretting his decision to sell Bremer to Juve:D

i have a feeling that if this kid stays with us, he will never be anyhing special, but if he goes somewhere else, he becomes a player worth 100M in couple of years... its just an Inter thing.

The interest from Chelsea seems like bullshit to me. At least atm. They already have Kante, Kova, Jorginho, Gillmore, Gallagher, Loftus, Barkley and some young kid They signed for 18 million yesterday for midfield positions. Also Mount and Ziyech can play as attacking minded midfielders.

people are investing into the future
and we are investing into nursing home(33+)
we dont even think of him or others who have potential
yet our managment cry that they are on tight budget but giving old/injured players 4+mil.
youngster can play for 2-4 years with 250-800k.
worth the risk/reward.

They want him for the future. He will be part of their under 23 team if signed not the senior squad.
