The correct way of thinking is to flip the situation and ask yourself would you buy Casadei for 15+5m if he were at another club.

If it’s a No then it’s a good deal to sell. People are displaying too many cognitive dissonances when they complained about Asllani for 5+10m but want to keep Casadei for 15+5m.

If he turns out to be a big star, a bit of regret yes but I think he couldn’t reach any potential with Inter.
When was the last time we have first team player straight from academy ? Balo?

Exactly this!

If we don't have this asset, will we spend 15m€+ to get this asset? Fuck no, we don't have such resources.

Now we own this asset. How can we use this asset? Groom him, which takes years or cash in for that 15m€+ value since we don't have resources in general?

Basically swapping Casadei for Asllani is great business for a club in our financial situation.

A big club doesn’t sell their promising youngsters. It’s as simple as that. We’re not a big club anymore under Suning, the sooner we accept that the better.

Absolute worst case scenario would have been that he becomes a Gagliardini and we sell him for 7-10 million.

If he becomes an ok player its pretty much what we’re selling him for now.

And if he becomes amazing then in this market you’re looking at 50 million plus. Odds aren’t in our favor on this one but alas fuck you Zhang

Like 20 mil from Casadei is gonna save our piss poor club or save us from selling one of the starters, i'm 100% sure if PSG knocks on our doors with 60+ offer for Skriniar Zhang is gonna accept it. Mercato is not over yet.

Sadly we did the same shit under Moratti. This club has no clue how to develop a youngster.

We are lucky we can sell a Primavera player for 20M€, even when he looks another Zaniolo, but we don't know how he ends up.

40M€ together with Pinamonti, but Im afraid Zhang's appetise won't end here. He wants to cash in on Denzel too if Chelsea flashes money.

We absolutely need Denzel this season. Week 1, already without his goal there would be heads rolling after not winning vs Serie B side.

If I were an epl club yes as €20 mil is like €5 mil for them.

Big clubs sell their youngsters too, for example: Real Madrid who sold even greater wonderkids like Hakimi, Morata. But if you ask me, I would choose not to sell and build a long-term team based on own products.

The difference is Real Madrid had world class players in their 20’s playing in those positions.

It’s like if we have a young promising left footed centre back coming through the ranks his path is blocked by Bastoni ( assuming we were owned by serious owners that is)

The Casadei one is baffling because he’s a 6 foot 1 midfielder with his speciality being making runs into the box and scoring goals. A player we absolutely have nothing alike in our team. But oh well is what it is

You are stating as if Casadei would help the first team in the near future in any capacity.

I can tell you Casadei will end up at loan when they see him fit for that in Chelsea. Before that he'll be in their U23 team.

Just because he's a great goalscorer in midfield, doesn't mean he'd do it at first team level or else we should have just relief on Gaston camara and dell agnello all these years
