He wasn't looking bad at all. Inzaghi should have let him play until the end, but no, he has to give minutes to his lovely youngster.

Subbing him for Djeko made all the sense in the world. Djeko contributed more defensively towards the end, heading crosses out of the box.

He is useless. Assuming Lukaku won't be useless when he returns, I see no point in using him at all.

At a certain moment Džeko was defending the left flank

while Correa was mostly just standing in the middle when he played

The problem here is that this is not a bad player but he's trying hard to prove he is

Injured again. 30m to the bin. Easily one of the worst transfers post treble.
:yao:

Correa is bad, no sense arguing it but to say he is one of the worst of the past decade is too much. Let's look at the stats for the current season:

Correa: 8 apps, 2 goals, 1 assist
Lautaro: 8 apps, 3 goals, 1 assist
Dzeko: 8 apps, 1 goal, 2 assists
Lukaku: 3 apps, 1 goal, 1 assist

Our strikers are all equally garbage.

Why mentioning only this season stats? Correa didn't join this summer. This is his second season at the club.

2021/22

Lautaro: 49 apps, 25 goals, 4 assists
Dzeko: 49 apps, 17 goals, 10 assists
Correa: 36 apps, 6 goals, 2 assists
Alexis Sanchez: 39 apps, 9 goals, 5 assists

Correa is constantly injured, his contribution is minimal and he cost 30m in a period the club is selling its best players to survive. He has been a TERRIBLE transfer.

Because you are formulating an opinion at the moment when his output is no worse than other players we have.
Last season's disproportion in stats compared to Lautaro is a lot different when you take into account Correa played maybe 40% of Lautaro's minutes.

Again, I'm not here to defend Correa because I agree that he is terrible. I'm just saying that when you simplify comparisons down to the lowest common denominator, you realize all of our strikers are misfiring and they have similar stats. For every hateful comment about Correa there is a comment of praise in Lautaro's thread yet Lautaro is again going through another signature drought. And I'm not deflecting to Lautaro, just pointing out that Correa happens to be a convenient scapegoat when the actual problems are much bigger.

I am not formulating an opinion now. I was against signing Correa from the beginning, i was criticising him a lot last season and i have seen nothing from the guy to convince me otherwise. I get we all have players we like and dislike. But there are some facts no one can't deny. Out of all the forwards he has the worst contribution and his fitness can only be compared to Sensi's. That's a fact. And when you take his price into consideration he can't be seen as anything else but a flop. Correa isn't an scapegoat. He's just not good enough for Inter.

Correa is a great luxury player to have on the bench. He's nowhere near good enough to be one of the top striking options at a club like Inter. The guy could barely start matches at Lazio.

A truely woeful performance. When a forward like Laurtaro has a shit game, as indeed he did, he still offers so much on the pitch.

Correa’s almost the exact opposite, when he has good game, he’ll happen to score or assist, and still offer very little on pitch.

For me, considering the moment, the finances, and the output on the field, he's right up there with Joao Mario and Gabigol. At least Suning had money then.
