He is good under pressure due to his good technical ability, and he definitely needs more playing time. Inzaghi should give him more minutes against low level teams like Sampdoria.
Nah, play him against gnarby/ sane

I think it’s the opposite but he hasn’t had any chance to sync with the team in real match situations. Same thing with Gosens.

Hopefully as the season goes on he gets more opportunities. Even when he was on today there was no urgency from teammates to utilize his pace.
It's definitely the opposite. In defense he's terrible and he needs a lot of work. He has shown some promising signs in attack due to his pace and crossing. He's still very raw.

I really think this kid could be lethal when he “grows up.” He just needs to mature and not be asked too much of for a while. I hope he starts against Bayern. He needs those sort of minutes in him even if it doesn’t go amazingly.

Really liked his cameo tonight. Very raw for now. But he's the only WB who's keen to take on an opponent every time. Bit of a Hakimi vibe but needs to improve his technical skills. Defensively okay cos he's big anyway. As long as he keeps tracking back I'm fine with that. Italian players age like fine wine so his positioning and awareness can only improve.

Didn't cover himself in glory tonight, but a good learning experience against some quality opponents. Biggest problem is on the defensive end, like his speed going forward though his passing not so much. Definitely, a work in progress.

Looked like a player that’s played 60 minutes all season. He is spastic and low on confidence but I feel like there’s something in there. Realistically he’s going to need a lot of playing time in the next few years to fully develop. Not sure if we can give him that.

Yeah. He has speed but not too much anything else. :D In Bayern match it looked like the tempo was just too high. But he's young, hasn't played at such tempo so no wonder.

But we could definitely use that speed, crosses aren't awful so usable player.

I feel like he is a kind of player who suits more in Premierleague football. There is a lot of energy, and also mistakes are a kind of tolerated way more than in Serie A for example. It's a less tactical league and everything else.

When I said he needs work on attack; I don't think his attack is limited due to technical reasons or raw related attributes, but more on knowing what to do in the attack phase. E.g. the long passes he received are often controlled first regardless the scenario, even when the situation allows him to knock the ball down and run on the first touch.
Also his way of taking on the opponents is pretty much sprint to byline and cross.
I never doubted his raw ability for attack, but his attack needs more work than defense cause of that.
His defense is actually pretty decent. He had quite some interception, hence the position. The 2 things if I want to be picky about his defense are: first, he leaves too much room between he and the dribbler, almost assuming they will do the same as him, try to dash pass him, so with his pace and the room he was pretty effective on preventing people get pass him or do a long pass/cross, but it makes the opponent pressure free on switching angle or hit a low pass.
The other thing about him is the commitment he has on the man after a switch up, or the realizing he became the marker that is responsible.
Otherwise, he is the only one on our team that you can leave him on the flank to defend without the CB supporting.
For his pace, it can be used for defense and offense.

He needs a playing time, if we can't do it, than a season long loan will be the ideal solutions.

He has a great skills and it is absolutely worthit to try to make him a great right-back.

Schelotto was brainless running horse, something like Vecino, but on the wing. Bellanova has some technique at least.

He literally played one full game and a total of 64 minutes in cameos and people are already writing him off

He's a kid who has good build and is willing to take players on, looking forward to seeing more of him fuck up and grow.

yea, Bellanova is not brainless at all; he is learning, and Vecino doesn't, I thought it was obvious in the Bayern game, you can see he was seeking confirmation of his actions from others (e.g. he filled in the spot of Darmian, when Darmian was trying to carry the play forward, and Inzaghi gave him the nod and gesture he is doing it right.)

Who is writing him off? I though people are pointing out he needs development, and we might ruin him by lack of play time?
