that's bs

There are soooo many other World Cup wins or World Cup moments that were more influenced by referee decisions than this, real shady shit. England 1966? Hand of God? Korea getting to the semifinals in 2002?

This World Cup was bonkers but the best two teams were in the final and all the penalty decisions in the final were correct.

Argentina was granted with 4 penalties that were incorrect(all matches were 0:0 at that point).
Argentina vs Netherlands, the officials had terrible decision after terrible decision, mostly favoring Argentina. Though the penalty was correct, it can be seen in different angles as a foul outside of the penalty area.
In the finals against France, the officials were terrible besides the penalty decision - they didn’t allow France in multiple occasions to play the advantage, causing at least 2 deadly attacks with the xG of 0.3 for each. (4 on 2 from the center)
Qatar hosting the tournament is a rigged decision - the World cup should’ve never be there, and since there was already a corruption, it would not surprise if they rigged it for best result, to be named as one of the best world cups ever.
Messi is connected with Qatar foundation (Barcelona) and the Qatar sports investments (PSG) and it is possible his connections increased the pressure for his success - alongside creating the mbappe v messi nerative - the 2 psg superstars - being funded by qatar sports.
There was a definitely pressure for making advantageous decisions for Messi and Argentina, allowing him to score as much as possible, making the case for the best player in the tournament, alongside winning the trophy the fans were waiting for since he was a kid in Barcelona - and the pressure made the result.

Scaloni choices were questionable as they've always been with Argentina teams since 1994 (imo their best teams in the last 50 years came between 94 and 2002 World Cups) but the level of world football has regressed so much that this mediocre looking team has managed to win it. Deservedly so.

Lionel Messi deserves all the credit he will receive from now on. And finally the neutrals will stop talking about Cristiano next to him. Messi is visibly at least one tier ahead. The CR7 fanboys will never rest unless they switch to someone else, so who cares? :D But someone save us from the Messi fanboys

Refereeing throughout the tournament was questionable at best. Argentina did get some favorable calls but cannot really say that they were selected to win here. If anything I think Brazil and France got most of the bad calls.

Nah, don't agree with the first point, so I'm not reading from that point on.

If you call this World Cup rigged, you can call that other World Cups as well

Also Drake is on the winning side for once 😀
It was an 1x2 bet . Normal time.

1 000 000 down to the pockets of betting firm. But obv Drake can handle this rather well.

DiMaria tripping himself and gets penalty for that. And experts confirmed that is not a penalty. You are right, no need to discuss anything after that.
1978 WC was also rigged. We know who won.

Have you ever played football? Getting clipped from behind is just the worst, because you CANNOT prepare for it. You fully believe you are safe, you have your balance, you aren't expecting anything, but then somebody steps on your boot, kicks your ankle, ... whatever.

If somebody slides into you from a position where you see him, you get your body toughened up, ready for contact and you either get taken out, you either use the situation to throw yourself on the floor or try to still play on if you can.

If you have no means to expect that, as soon as somebody touches your "standing" leg while moving, you are down, 90% of the time.

Yea, he was clipped from behind. From mosquito. Stop defending undefendable. It was clearly not for a penalty. Imagine if ref called this shit in rube favor against inter. Whole FIF would explode.

Di Maria penalty was a soft one, but there was push from Dembele and Di Maria took advantage of it, Just like the french player did the same (I think it was Thuram) when was challenged by Otamendi from behind. Not all penalties are given because it's a crystal clear foul. Also there seems to be a handball by Upamecano right before Mbappe shot hit Montiel's hand for France's second penalty, so that penalty should have been ruled out as well.

But yeah Argentina was favored, because the Netherlands ref pulled 10 minutes of injury time out of his ass so Netherlands could make a comeback in the 11th minute! Cool story.

Of course they were favored, whole fkn tournament. That penalty against Croatia, thats hillarious. And against Poland??? Clear robbery. Not the first time for them. It was much worse in 1978.

Also judge experts clearly confirmed that both penalties for France were right calls. Idc about them, they were also supported by refs many times in wc, especially in 2018 final.. I just hate when team win major trophy with refeere support. One game ok it can happen, but 3,4 games?? Support your team I dont care but shut the fuck up and dont lecture others what is right and what is wrong. Its pure hypocrisy.

The irony.

Regarding DiMaria's penalty, that's just how football is these days, soft penalties are handed out like hot cakes.

Stop acting like a salty cunt. You whine like 24/7. Refeereing mistakes happen all the time. Every team got it in each WC. From prime Barca to the treble winning Inter. It does not mean a conspiracy theory. Argentina was the better team in the final and you only whine about refereeing decisions which favored Argentina, and not their opponents.

Now all Messi needs to do is to show off with a funny pre-match warming up full of tricks and he will have officially dethroned Maradona as Argentina's all-time MVP.

Gvardiol fell down after Amrabat's slight touch and he says it should be a penalty, but when a similar contact happens to Di Maria "why is that a penalty"? Who is being hypocrite here?

I'm gonna ignore this part of the forum for now. This is no way to do proper discourse.
