That right footed shot was very difficult. Weak foot, away from goal and outside the box. It should have been a corner.

He should have had an assist and a goal contribution with his pass to dzeko who set up darmian.

Still looked off it ofcourse, but he was up against one of the best defenders in the league in Kim. Good return, glad he only got 60 minutes too. We need him, he's a difference maker. Finally a cunt with speed up top

That's true, he did the dirty work a.k.a. had Kim on himself to let other have better chances.

This looks a bs to me. If Inter are disappointed, they won't ask for another paid loan obviously.
It`s Chelsea asking for a paid loan with option to buy, not Inter:

Sky Sport Italia eported that the Blues have no intention of loaning the Belgian to the Nerazzurri again beyond the end of his current loan deal without at least a purchase option being included.

Chelsea do not want Lukaku’s situation to remain open-ended. The 29-year-old desire to stay at Inter is clear, whilst the Nerazzurri would be happy to keep him beyond the end of the current season provided he can stay fit. However, the Nerazzurri would have to negotiate new terms on a loan with Chelsea in order to keep the Belgian beyond the end of the current campaign, as that is when his current loan deal expires.

The Blues would value Lukaku at around €70-80 million, and they would want any extension to the striker’s loan to include a purchase option at a set fee.

In the meantime, Chelsea are also very keen on Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries, whose name could also come up in talks around Lukaku.
Even by agreeing to have a purchase option included in next season`s loan, that would mean nothing. I mean of course as long it`s an option to buy and not some obligation.

To be honest it doesn`t even matter much what the figure will be. I can already see Marotta/Ausilio in June of 2024 trying to negotiate down his purchase option because Chelsea will have no leverage by then ;) and Lukaku will be 31 years old.

I don't suppose there's anywhere I can watch Lukaku's infernal interview with SKY with English subtitles? Even a translated transcript?

While the Serie A youtube channel does a very commendable job with English content, there's little consideration from the media outlets outside of fan translations.

I don't remember a single play where he would have got the ball to his team mate. Maybe there was one but I just don't picked it. Absolutely terrible waste of space, it was like we were playing with 10 men. It felt like at some point our players started to avoid passing to him.

No matter how unfit he is, you can't be this shit.

He looks terribly unfit which would be one hurdle, but he also looks mentally shattered following his dismal WC - if and that's a big IF, if he is to regain himself from this I could see it easily take all of the rest of this season and that is time we just can't afford. Fucking mess.

When he is 100% fit like under Conte and Pintus, it hides all his flaws, otherwise they all explode out, he is so so bad technically, he is so bad, it's incredible.
There is no way he was worth 115M, we litterally f*cked Chelsea when we sold him and yet, instead of building a whole team with that money, we didn't spend it, oh no, we're giving them back every single penny. We're so f*cking stupid it hurts to think about.

So much money spent on this donkey.

If you were a random and this was the first time you ever watched Lukaku play, you’d have to ask yourself if he was truly a professional footballer. That’s how god awful he was. He’s always been mediocre at best at controlling the ball but this was another level of sheer awfulness.

Between the terrible season at Chelsea, the long injury lay-off the first half of the season and then the extremely forgettable Wolrd Cup performance, the guy looks broken.

Embarrassingly bad tonight. The fact that we’re even considering to extend the loan is not only beyond unjustifiably but borderline insanity. He has declined to a slightly quicker Gagliardini at this point. If he outscores Correa this season it’ll only be due to the fact that Correa is dead last in the pecking order.
