Depay has a contract just until June... anyway, even if he doesnt renew here, we still get rid of Correa.

I mean, it's a no-brainer if we actually have the chance. But there's just no way. We're Inter. We never get bailed out like this.
I’m sure it’ll be revealed that Barca were meaning to make a swap offer for Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid but got their Correa’s mixed up.

Now I can see why our side would consider a Brozo-Kessie swap...there’s no other way that Barca would be doing us this big a favour...

Shocking news. Came out of nowhere. Interesting if coming true

So…. After 1 year of dropping 30 million we are letting him go for a free agent…. Everyone is circle jerking over that?

Yeah. I think that was confirmed to be true. Alba met with Xavi the following day to discuss the move, and convinced him to stay.
He was also the guy who reported Kessie-Brozovic first and now everyone is talking about it.

The bigger question is not if Depay intends to come here, but why barca are interested in an imbecile called correa? I wager their la masia have better young player than someone who strolls around the turf and wasting every single ball handed to him.
Who knows, but let's close the deal before they change their minds.

If this happens, it will be huge.

It's probably their way to sweeten the deal for Brozovic. If these two aren't connected i would take this deal and run. Depay is a massive upgrade over Correa.

This comes out of nowhere. Let's do this deal and run, I lost all my hopes in Correa

Two things to take into consideration about Depay.

1) He has the same lawyer/agent as Lukaku
2) He has a higher salary than Correa (around 10m gross) so he would have to give up money to join Inter.

or just pay him his salary. His contract is over in 6 months... Anyway, i just want Correa and his contract off this team.

1) I have a bad feeling about this
2) But if we somehow manage to make a deal where Correa goes to Barcelona permanently and Depay goes to Inter permanently for at least 2 years, Depay would be able to use Growth Decree and then the gross salary burden for Inter would be around exactly the same as it is for Correa now

However there is a huge question mark in that 2nd point regarding the permanent transfer. Correa is on our books at around 20m (maybe less?) by now. Depay's contract runs out this June. Would we "buy" Depay for 20m€ (and to get that value to our books) just to nullify Correa's book value leaving the books and thus avoid the minusvalenza situation?

I could see 6 month loan swap much more credible situation. Then we can't use Growth Decree (minimum 2 years) of course so our costs would go up a bit.

So Depay comes here with a 2 -3 year contract, but Correa is going on 6 month loan?. Better make the loan for 23/24 season too, with fully paid wages by Barca.

Maybe Xavi cures him and we can sell him for good .
It would be probably either loan swap or then permanent swap for both.

Barcelona would actually pay something for us on top of Depay because his contract indeed runs out in 6 months. So if they pay like 10m€, they would get Correa for 10m€ as Depay cannot be seen too valuable for them. Contract running out in 6 months and player desperately wanting to get out. Barcelona wants him out aswell since they don't want to pay sizeable salary to a player who doesn't play.

Correa is quite useless unless he’s healthy and given tons of space to run into. Not sure why any club, especially a big club, would want him tbh. He’s a Lazio level player and will always be so.

But if Barca wanna do a loan swap for Depay, you won’t hear me complaining about it. If I were a cule, it’d be a drastically different story.

I don't see much of an upside for us in case of a loan swap.

Barca get rid of a fat contract and a player Xavi doesn't want 6 months earlier. Correa will probably flop there but it's just a 6-month deal. Not a tragedy.

Depay gets playing time, raises his value and then chooses where to go in the summer.

Win win for both.

What does Inter get? An expensive contract of a player who is an upgrade over Correa but also could leave the club 6 months later while Correa will be returning from his loan. Either Barca should pay cash on top of it or they need to take Correa permanently for the deal to make sense for Inter.
