Yeah that's my line of thought too. We just need to keep some consistency. This season, again, Dzeko carried us in the first part. And ended up playing more than he should. If finally we would get a forward to play with Lautaro who makes Dzeko sit on the bench by default, we could do fairly well with Dzeko still around.

Just your typical 2nd half of the season Dzeko. To be fair he still runs and defends a bit more than Lukaku though. That makes him a perfect striker for the last 20 mins of the game

He should have never started against Udinese. Dzeko starting two games in a matter of 4 days was recipe for disaster

I was hoping he would be used more surgically this season, as Sanchez was.

He is 37 years old. I think, the only person in the world who believes that Dzeko could play every game at that age, is Inzaghi.

I don't understand what's going on with Dzeko. Go back just a month or so, Lukaku had returned from injury only to immediately get re-injured. Everyone was cursing him while lavishing praise on Dzeko who was scoring crucial goals, torching Tonali, and generally showing his class and worthiness of a renewal despite his extreme old age.

Since then, Lukaku has returned to the mix, meaning Dzeko has actually, for the first time ever at Inter, been given some proper rest and rotation. And yet he's looked fucking shit.

Barring any ludicrous drops in form (again), Lukaku needs to start the vast majority of the remaining matches. I thought that was apparent. It was an obvious mistake from Limone to start Dzeko today.

Yeah not good stuff by Dzeko recently. I remember against Bologna, he came in and his first 2 touches were some fucking horrible passes/giveaways. :lol:

Is it that because we again had to use him as the starter for the most of the season, he's just done, just like last season when the drop in form arrived right around mid winter.

The weird thing is, his dip has come at a time when he's getting more rest than ever. That's the concerning thing. And hes looking what, 7.5m for another season? That's way too much. He's been great yeah but he's been awful for a month or more now. He was pathetic yesterday when he entered.

It was expected that he would fall off, same happened last season. Anyway, if he accepts a 50% or more paycut extend him for a year, otherwise good luck in Turkey or wherever someone will pay him.
