Benvenuto de Vrij

I am totally indifferent whether we have De Vrij or Smalling next season. They're both underwhelming options, salary will be similar and i don't think there will be a big difference in performance. With De Vrij there's at least a (false) hope he could improve once he signs a new contract and his future is settled.

Nooooooooooo. Welp. There goes the title

With one fell swoop we would've neutered Roma and bolstered our title chances by signing Smalldini on a free

De Vrij still the affordable option for us anyway.
The problem is that, like many other players, he might choose to leave for any club that can guarantee him a spot in the first squad over staying on the bench and accepting a new deal with a reduced income and a backup role.

We might still need to renegotiate for Acerbi's fee, as D'ambrosio is most certainly going.
If we are unable to reach an agreement with these guys, we may be down to Bastoni as our sole remaining defender.

Any transfer budget will almost certainly be allocated to patch up the defence rather than improving the attacking sector.
The transfer budget may also mean the sale of another star.
This might show how much damage Skriniar have left to the club.

I was of similar opinion until I was told he was on net €3.8m a year and would extend for similar amounts. Really not at all worth it at that price point.

I think we need to sell 2-3 starters and all Lautaro, Barella, Brozovic and Dumfries are for sale if great offer comes. Also Bastoni might be sold if he don’t renew this summer? There are also reports that Real Madrid is interested at Bastoni, but might be bs… but who knows?

I think big sales might open interesting options for a rebuild and all of our starters have been pretty inconsistent… so I’m not againts any sale if we get good money in and invest most of it back in the team.

If we get fees like this I would sell asap…

Lautaro 80-100m sold
Barella 70-80m sold
Brozovic 30m sold
Dumfries 30-40m sold
Bastoni 60-65m sold

Let's try to find stopgaps and focus on keeping Bastoni. Add any excess money to the Scalvini fund.

Adding Koulibaly to the Lukaku loan deal would be shrewd as well.

if Inter would decide to sell all of these players in one transfer window, i will personally go to the Inter HQ and put it on fire, while also find Steven and kick his ass.

the reports were saying we need to make 50M, which should be Dumfries and at least 5 players that are already on loan and will never even get a chance to play for the first team. Now, I am sure that if an offer of 120M comes for Lautaro Inter will wanna cash in, but I don't think any club is really gonna throw a lot of money towards us. In my opinion the only starters that are gonna go will be Dumfries, who's not even a starter anymore and Brozo.... Also, let's just win the Champions league, so there won't be any need to sell a bunch of players.

I think that 50m is additional that Suning need to cover for last years losses?

If we want to bring new players in I think we need sell few starters to do so?

I hope we don’t need to sell more than Dumfries + few loan players? But if we sell Denzel we need to replace him too? I don’t think Bellanova and Darmian is enough?

We also need to get two new cb’s to replace Skriniar and Dambro + renew De Vrij or get someone for a loan or free transfer?

We also need to pay Gosens 28m and Asllani 10m next summer + get new cm to replace Gags.

We also need to renew Lukaku’s loan and that will cost us few million or get someone like Thuram for free?

So I don’t think those loan players will be enough to cover all that? But I might be wrong?

There's no need to renew Lukaku loan or buy him etc shit. Since when the club must oblige to sign Lukaku at all costs? Does he own Inter or what!?

unless he grab serie a top scorer and bring Champions League trophy. The club has a right to discuss that.

We cannot cover last year's (season's) losses anymore, that's closed books already. But we need to cover this season, financial year ending in June. So we need to make that 50m or whatever we need to make till the end of this June. Then starts a new season and most probably we need to do sales again.

With De Vrij there's at least a (false) hope he could improve once he signs a new contract and his future is settled.

Smalling would actually cost less, according to latest reports:
As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Smalling wants to sign a new contract with Roma, keen to commit another two years of his future to the club.

The defender’s current contract expires at the end of this season and the Giallorossi have the option to extend it for a further year, but the Englishman wants a little more stability and is asking for a two-year deal.

Both parties are keen to continue their relationship and will now negotiate over the details of a new contract. Roma do not want to pay Smalling the current €3.5m net per season he earns in the Italian capital and could reach an agreement to lower his wages to €2.5m net, with some add-ons included.

The next international break in March could provide the perfect time for the two parties to agree a deal

De Vrij is younger but who cares when he plays like a senile?

We're not selling Dumfries for a penny over 25 million. His value is shattered and no top club is going to want him. Chelsea and Spurs both made RB signings and at United Wan-Bissaka is playing again. Brozovic is old and big wages I would do everything to sell him but which top club is going to want an injury prone 30 year-old? We might be able to generate 50 million if we sell Dumfries, Fabbian and a couple of other loan players but that's just by june 30 we might have to generate money again for June 2024. Hopefully we're in a better position and Suning can put in some money in but I doubt it. There's a good chance we're selling one of our top assets
